Técnicas de reabilitação, conservação e restauro em paramentos de alvenaria de pedra - aplicação ao alçado principal da Igreja do Carmo de Coimbra

Abstract

O trabalho consistiu em investigar formas e técnicas de intervenção em paramentos de alvenaria de pedra da região. Para além dos aspetos envolvendo as diversas formas de intervenção, efetuou-se a investigação em áreas técnicas e científicas destinadas a aferir o seu comportamento geoquímico e processos de meteorização, alteração, erosão, colonização biológica, etc., a curto e longo prazo. Teve-se em conta o conhecimento existente de intervenções recentes levadas a cabo no Mosteiro de Santa Clara-a-Velha e na Sé Velha de Coimbra. Participou-se na elaboração de prescrições para a intervenção em curso no alçado principal da Igreja do Carmo, na Rua da Sofia, em Coimbra, tendo-se igualmente acompanhado a obra sob a tutela da Direção Regional de Cultura do Centro

The work consisted in investigate ways and techniques of intervention in walls of masonry and stone of the region. In the addition to the aspects involving various ways of intervention, investigation were performed about scientific and technical areas for measure their geochemical behavior and processes of weathering, alteration, erosion, biological colonization, etc. in a short and long term. It was taken into account the knowledge of recent operations undertaken at the Monastery of Santa Clara-a-Vela and the Sé Velha in Coimbra. It was attended the development of requirements for the current intervention for the facade of the Igreja do Carmo, at Rua da Sofia, in Coimbra, under the tutelage of the Regional Direction of Culture Center
