A coleção de Alfredo Keil no Museu Nacional da Música – o itinerário dos instrumentos musicais através da inventariação

Abstract

O estágio curricular e o presente relatório surgiram para contribuir para a investigação e evolução do Museu Nacional da Música, cujo o principal objetivo foi estudar a coleção de instrumentos musicais de Alfredo Keil, dando especial atenção aos instrumentos de cordas recolhidos por Louis Pierrard. Além de procurar informações a cerca das peças ao comparar com aquelas já existentes, procura-se também atualizar a inventariação com a criação de uma nova ficha de inventário que tem o intuito de facilitar o trabalho de um investigador. A criação dessa ficha de inventário advém da necessidade da evolução da que está em vigor e foi feita com análise de fichas de Museus internacionais. De forma a contextualizar a investigação feita ao longo do relatório foi necessário compreender a figura de Alfredo Keil como musicólogo e colecionador, assim como entender as lutas existentes para a criação de um Museu da Música em Portugal, que tem como o seu pioneiro o compositor por trás do hino nacional português. No presente relatório é fundamental entender a importância da inventariação para as instituições culturais assim como a evolução da mesma, acompanhando assim a evolução do próprio mundo, para compreender também o importante papel que uma administração central desempenha num Museu. É fundamental entender também que este foi um relatório feito através da consulta da correspondência entre o artista português com os vários intermediários espalhados pelos vários países da Europa, sendo essa correspondência praticamente consultada através de um ecrã para a preservar da melhor forma.

The curricular internship and the present report emerged to contribute to the investigation and evolution of the Museu Nacional da Música, whose main objective was to study the collection of musical instruments by Alfredo Keil, paying special attention to the string instruments collected by Louis Pierrard.In addition to seeking to gather information about the pieces by comparing them with those that already exist, it is also sought to update the inventory with the creation of a new inventory sheet that aims to facilitate the work of a researcher. The creation of this inventory sheet comes from the need to evolve the one in force and was made with an analysis of files from international Museums.To contextualize the research carried out throughout the report, it was necessary to understand the figure of Alfredo Keil as a musicologist and collector, as well as to understand the existing struggles for the creation of a Museum of Music in Portugal, which has as its pioneer the composer behind the Portuguese national anthem.In this report, it is essential to understand the importance of inventorying for cultural institutions as well as the importance of its evolution, thus accompanying the evolution of the world itself, to understand also the important role that a central administration plays in a Museum. It is also essential to understand that this report was made by consulting the correspondence between the Portuguese artist and the various intermediaries spread across the various European countries, this correspondence being practically consulted through a screen to preserve it in the best way.
