"Quando um erro se torna numa oportunidade para aprender"

Abstract

This report describes the curricular internship done during the current academic year at Rainha Santa Isabel College, in Coimbra, to obtain the degree of Master of Sciences of Education, by the Faculty of Psychology and of Sciences of Education of University of Coimbra. The learning difficulties and the methods and techniques of study were the two themes with which we had a close relationship. This was a challenge because in both domains the Educational Sciences professional can be an asset in the training and improvement of learning strategies and the skills that the students recognize itself, despite the difficulties. An initial evaluation of each student, was the basis for a careful planning of intervention programs for dyslexia / dysortography and for the preparation of personalized worksheets, adapting the teaching processes to each student. The intervention was performed with the goal of making the students more capable and independent, allowing them to learn from their mistakes. This intervention was later evaluated in order to understand if it was effective and meaningful for students. In this report we also want to describe the role a Higher Education Technician can play in this type of educational context, through our experience in the Rainha Santa Isabel College and the knowledge acquired during these five years of study in the area of Educational Sciences.

O presente relatório visa descrever o Estágio Curricular efetuado durante o presente ano letivo, no Colégio da Rainha Santa Isabel, em Coimbra, para obtenção do grau de Mestre em Ciências da Educação, pela Faculdade de Psicologia e Ciências da Educação da Universidade de Coimbra.As dificuldades de aprendizagem e os métodos e técnicas de estudo foram as duas temáticas com que mantivemos uma estreita relação. Trata-se de um desafio, pois em ambos os domínios o profissional em Ciências da Educação pode ser uma mais valia no treino e aperfeiçoamento de estratégias de aprendizagem e na melhoria das capacidades que os alunos reconhecem em si, apesar das dificuldades.Foi realizada uma avaliação inicial de cada aluno, que serviu de base a uma planificação cuidada de programas de intervenção ao nível da dislexia/disortografia e à preparação e dinamização de fichas de trabalho com vista a adequar os processos de ensino a cada aluno. A intervenção decorreu na tentativa de que os alunos se tornem mais capazes e autónomos, procurando encontrar uma oportunidade de aprendizagem nos seus erros. Esta intervenção foi posteriormente avaliada, no sentido de compreender se foi eficaz e significativa para os alunos. Pretendemos ainda no decorrer deste relatório, dar conta do papel que um Técnico Superior de Educação pode ter neste tipo de contexto educativo, através da nossa experiência no Colégio da Rainha Santa Isabel e dos conhecimentos adquiridos durante cinco anos de estudo na área das Ciências da Educação.
