A Revolução 2030 na Distribuição Farmacêutica e o impacto na Farmácia Comunitária

Abstract

A Distribuição Farmacêutica já sofreu fortes alterações, desde a nível logístico até reestruturações devido à crise financeira. No entanto, surgem agora novos – e possivelmente os maiores – desafios. A mudança no tipo de medicamentos e terapêuticas desenvolvidas afeta a indústria, os armazenistas e a própria Farmácia Comunitária num sentido disruptivo daquele que é o seu trabalho habitual. Para os primeiros elementos da cadeia, poderá ser necessária uma reestruturação interna, venda ou troca de áreas de trabalho para que se possam focar na estratégia mais adequada. Prevêem-se três diferentes arquétipos de indústria farmacêutica e cada uma deverá encontrar e adaptar ao que melhor se enquadra nos seus objetivos; A distribuição, por sua vez, terá que revolucionar também para acomodar os novos produtos. Por outro lado, para a Farmácia Comunitária, o surgimento de novos players na dispensa de medicamentos e o aumento na oferta de serviços de valor acrescentado poderá requerer um reforço na componente de aconselhamento ao utente. .

The pharmaceutical supply chain has not been static, having undergone multiple changes from logistic to financial motives. However, new challenges – perhaps the most difficult so far – have arisen. The changes on the type of medicines and therapeutics being developed has an impact on both the industry, the distributor and the Community Pharmacy, disrupting them from their usual line of work. For the earlier elements of the supply chain, an internal restructuring may be required, selling or swapping work assets in order to focus on the most appropriate business strategy. Three different archetypes of pharmaceutical industries can be foreseen and each must adapt to the one that best suits their goals. The supply chain must then accommodate these changes in terms of products and the chain itself. On the other hand, for the Community Pharmacy, having new players on the selling and delivery of drugs, along new offers of added value services, might signify a needed reinforcement of the patient counselling component. .
