Namoros marcados por violência: uma análise social

Abstract

Esta pesquisa aborda as relações entre violência, jovens e as relações de namoro, através de uma análise sócio histórica, perpassando a análise histórica de desenvolvimento da violência e dos complexos sociais que envolvem os jovens. A escolha do tema é oriunda da percepção do referido fenómeno, como objeto de intervenção profissional e, também, manifesta na realidade social nas quais estamos inseridos enquanto seres sociais. Ressaltou-se, no decorrer da pesquisa, a apreensão do tema por associações portuguesas que trabalham situações de violência e risco, portanto, afirmando a atualidade e necessidade de aprofundamento do tema. Tendo como problemática a existência e manifestação da violência nas relações de namoro entre jovens e como objetivo geral compreender e analisar a representação da violência entre jovens nas relações de namoro, o método escolhido foi a pesquisa mista, iniciada com o uso da pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, associada a um questionário sócio demográfico e uma escala de atitudes de violência no namoro aplicados com o público jovem universitário e entrevista com uma profissional da área. As respostas obtidas, em conjunto com o referencial teórico, confirmaram a legitimação de atitudes de violência nas relações de namoro entre jovens, como também despertaram a necessidade da intervenção social nesta realidade, destacando a relação do Serviço Social como profissional interventivo e capacitado para este tipo de intervenção. Desta forma, concluise que a pesquisa abordou questões relevantes à compreensão e análise da violência em um contexto geral, como também das instituições e representações sociais que permeiam as relações sociais, e culminam em uma legitimação de atitudes de violência nas relações de namoro.

This research addresses the relationships between violence, youth and dating relationships, through a historical socio-analysis, passing on the historical analysis of the development of violence and the social complexes involving young people. The choice of the subject is derived from the perception of this phenomenon, as an object of professional intervention and also manifests in the social reality in which we are inserted as social beings. Was stressed, during the research, the apprehension of the theme by portuguese associations that work situations of violence and risk, thus affirming the current and need to deepen the theme. Having as problematic the existence and manifestation of violence in relationships between young people and as a general objective to understand and analyse the representation of violence among young people in dating relationships, the method chosen was mixed research, initiated with the use of bibliographic and documentary research, associated with a demographic socio questionnaire and a scale of attitudes of violence in the dating applied with young university students and interview with a professional in the area. The answers obtained, together with the theoretical reference, confirmed the legitimacy of attitudes of violence in relationships between young people, but also aroused the need for social intervention in this reality, highlighting the relationship of the service as an interventional and skilled professional for this type of intervention. In this way, it is concluded that the research addressed issues relevant to the understanding and analysis of violence in a general context, as well as of the institutions and social representations that permeate social relations and culminate in a legitimization of attitudes of violence in dating relationships.
