Intervenção e investigação psicopedagógicas em contexto de biblioteca escolar

Abstract

O presente relatório visa apresentar o trabalho desenvolvido ao longo do estágio curricular do curso de Mestrado em Ciências da Educação da Faculdade de Psicologia e de Ciências da Educação da Universidade de Coimbra que decorreu no Agrupamento de Escolas Coimbra Centro (AECC), no ano letivo de 2017-2018, dando particular destaque ao projeto de intervenção e à componente de investigação que desenvolvemos. O projeto de intervenção constituiu num projeto de promoção da literacia. Foi desenvolvido em contexto de biblioteca escolar e teve como objetivos: promover o gosto e hábitos de leitura; desenvolver a compreensão de textos e fomentar a expressão oral e escrita, sendo o público-alvo os estudantes de turmas do 2º ciclo do ensino básico de uma das escolas onde decorreu o estágio. O projeto encontra-se fundamentado, descrito e avaliado no presente relatório.O estudo empírico teve como principal objetivo analisar a influência de características do texto, nomeadamente a integração de imagens e de esquemas, no interesse e compreensão dos mesmos, sendo os participantes estudantes de turmas do 2º ciclo do ensino básico de escolaridade de escolas do Agrupamento. Foram elaborados três tipos de textos expositivos diferentes (texto expositivo simples, texto expositivo com esquema e texto expositivo com imagem), sendo solicitado aos participantes no estudo a sua leitura e posterior resposta a um inquérito que incluía questões sobre o interesse do texto, perguntas de compreensão, sendo ainda solicitada a formulação de perguntas sobre aspetos do texto acerca dos quais gostariam de ter mais informação. Os resultados mostraram que o texto expositivo com imagem é o que obtém níveis mais elevados de interesse e compreensão.

This report aims to present the work developed during the curricular internship of the Master's Degree in Educational Sciences of the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Coimbra. This internship took place in the Scholl Network Coimbra Centre, in the academic year of 2017-2018, with particular emphasis on the intervention project and the research component we have developed. The basis of the intervention project was to promote literacy. It was developed in a school library context and had as objectives: the promotion of reading habits; the development of text comprehension skills and the fostering of oral and written expression, with the target audience being the students of classes in the 2nd cycle of basic education at one of the schools where the internship took place. The project is supported, described and evaluated in this report.The main objective of the empirical study was to analyze the influence of text characteristics, namely the integration of images and schemas, in the interest and understanding of said text. The participants of this study were the students of classes of the 2nd cycle of basic education of schooling of the School Network. Three types of different expository texts (simple expository text, expository text with schema and expository text with image) were elaborated, and participants were asked to read and respond to a survey that included questions regarding their interest on the text, questions on comprehension, while also asking questions on which of the texts they would like more information about. The results showed that the expository text with image is what obtains higher levels of interest and understanding.
