Relatórios de Estágio e Monografia intitulada “UPLC no Controlo de Qualidade em Indústria Farmacêutica”

Abstract

O seguinte documento, Relatórios de Estágio e Monografia intitulada “UPLC no Controlo de Qualidade em Indústria Farmacêutica”, encontra-se dividido em duas partes. A primeira parte é constituída por relatórios de estágios realizados no âmbito da unidade curricular do plano de estudos de MICF intitulada de “Estágio”. Os seguintes relatórios encontram-se elaborados em formato de análise SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats), sendo feitas algumas considerações sobre o processo de adaptação e aprendizagem no decorrer do estágio. Os relatórios dizem respeito a dois estágios realizados. O primeiro estágio foi realizado em Farmácia Comunitária; o segundo estágio em Indústria Farmacêutica, numa Unidade de Produção. A segunda parte do presente documento é relativo aos trabalhos conducentes à monografia intitulada “UPLC no Controlo de Qualidade em indústria farmacêutica”. Esta monografia tece pequenas considerações sobre cromatografia líquida e a evolução da instrumentação, em concreto a instrumentação usada em Cromatografia Líquida de Alta Performance (HPLC) e Cromatografia Líquida de Ultra Performance (UPLC). No documento procedeu-se à comparação de algumas condições cromatográficas de métodos indicadores de estabilidade de diferentes fármacos, desenvolvidos e validados, recorrendo a esta técnica, com métodos descritos no compêndio, nomeadamente com a Farmacopeia Europeia. Foi objetivo desta monografia, através da comparação abordada, averiguar possíveis vantagens do uso de Cromatografia Líquida de Ultra Performance, e inferir sobre a possibilidade do seu recurso e eventual proveito por parte de uma unidade de Controlo de Qualidade na Indústria Farmacêutica.

The following document, Internship reports and monograph entitled "UPLC in Quality Control in the Pharmaceutical Industry", is divided into two parts. The first part consists of reports of internships carried out within the curricular course of the MICF study program, entitled "Internship". The following reports are produced in the SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis format, with some considerations about the process of adaptation and learning during the internship. The reports concern two separate internships. The first internship was carried out in Community Pharmacy; the second in the Pharmaceutical Industry, in a Production Unit.The second part of this document concerns the work that led to the monograph entitled "UPLC in Quality Control in the Pharmaceutical Industry". In this monograph it has been made some considerations on liquid chromatography and the evolution of instrumentation, in particular the instrumentation used in High Performance Liquid Chromatography and Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography. In the present document, some chromatographic conditions of different stability indicators methods for different drugs, developed and validated, were compared with methods described in the compendium, namely with the European Pharmacopoeia. The objective of this monograph, through the aforementioned comparison, was to investigate possible advantages of the use of Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography and infer about the possibility of its resource and benefit for Quality Control in the Pharmaceutical Industry.
