Relatório de Estágio

Abstract

O presente relatório refere-se ao estágio curricular desenvolvido nos meses de janeiro a julho de 2018. Este estágio foi realizado no laboratório Labeto-Centro de Análises Bioquímicas, S.A., pertencente ao Grupo Beatriz Godinho e no Serviço de Patologia Clínica do Centro Hospitalar de Leiria. Como parte integrante do Mestrado em Análises Clínicas da Faculdade de Farmácia da Universidade de Coimbra, este estágio permitiu o desenvolvimento de conhecimentos, adquiridos ao longo do curso, nas diversas valências de um laboratório clínico. Ambos os laboratórios são caracterizados globalmente, sendo explicada a forma de trabalho de cada um, as várias análises realizadas, bem como os equipamentos que fazem parte dos dois serviços. No laboratório Beatriz Godinho é feita uma pequena abordagem às colheitas de produtos biológicos, visto ter sido um dos pontos de aprendizagem durante o estágio. A área da Hematologia foi alvo de maior enfoque no laboratório Beatriz Godinho, enquanto no SPC do CHL a área da Microbiologia foi a que teve uma descrição mais profunda. Ao longo do texto todas as metodologias usadas nestas áreas laboratoriais são expostas, é realizada também uma abordagem teórica das pesquisas executadas no sentido de perceber a sua relevância numa determinada patologia. É ainda abordado o tema da Gestão e Controlo de Qualidade e a sua importância para garantir a fiabilidade dos resultados.As Análises Clínicas são um precioso meio auxiliar de diagnóstico onde são estudados vários fluídos biológicos, permitindo ainda acompanhar a evolução da doença, monotorizar a terapêutica e contribuir para uma vigilância epidemiológica.

The present report refers to the curricular internship that took place from January to July 2018. This internship was carried out in the laboratory Labeto-Centro de Análises Bioquímicas, S.A., which belongs to the Beatriz Godinho Group and in the Clinical Pathology Service of the Centro Hospitalar de Leiria. As an integral part of the Master´s degree in Clinical Analysis of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Coimbra, this internship allowed the development of knowledge, acquired throughout the course, in several valences of a clinical laboratory.Both laboratories are characterized globally, explaining the way of work of each one, the various analysis performed, as well as the equipment that makes part of the two services. In the Beatriz Godinho laboratory, a small approach to biological products harvests was made, since it was one of the learning goals during the internship. The area of Hematology was the subject of greater focus in the Beatriz Godinho’s laboratory, whereas in the SPC of CHL the área of Microbiology was the one with a deeper description. Throughout the report all the methodologies used in these laboratory areas are exposed, a theoretical approach of the researches is also carried in order to understand their relevance in a certain pathology.It even addresses the issue of Quality Management System and its importance to ensure the reliability of the results.Clinical Analysis are a precious diagnostic aid in which several biological fluids are studied, allowing to follow the evolution of the disease, monitor the therapy and contribute to an epidemiological surveillance.
