As Ajudas Comunitárias e o Desenvolvimento Económico

Abstract

O presente relatório surge no âmbito do estágio curricular do Mestrado em Economia da Faculdade de Economia da Universidade de Coimbra, desenvolvido na empresa Stratbond Consulting Lda. Foi através das atividades prestadas nesta consultora, que me colocaram em contacto direto com as PME Portuguesas, que surgiu inicialmente a ideia para o tópico deste relatório. O facto das PME serem consideradas a espinha dorsal da economia, conjugado com as catástrofes que devastaram Portugal no ano de 2017, mais concretamente os incêndios florestais, fizeram com que o meu caminho se traçasse nesta rota, de forma a perceber de que modo é que os apoios provenientes do Portugal 2020 poderiam vir a ajudar a revitalizar as empresas afetadas. Inicialmente, através de uma pesquisa bibliográfica, procurou-se tentar perceber um pouco mais sobre as catástrofes naturais, dando primazia aos incêndios florestais, uma constante no território Português principalmente nos meses de mais calor. Tentou-se explorar o impacto dos apoios do Portugal 2020 nas empresas portuguesas, mais precisamente o apoio respeitante à reposição da atividade económica nos municípios mais afetados pelo incêndio de 17 de Junho e procurou-se um elo de ligação entre o apoio, a capacidade de reestruturação das empresas e a capacidade para a modernização das mesmas, de forma a tentar perceber a capacidade que tais apoios têm na realidade para a melhoria efetiva destas organizações. Numa segunda fase, é abordado o estágio curricular realizado, onde foi feito uma descrição da empresa em questão e os seus serviços prestados, os objetivos do estágio e as tarefas realizadas, e por fim, uma análise critica ao estágio.

The present report was developed in order to finish my Master’s studies in Economics at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra, conducted in Stratbond Consulting Lda. in Coimbra. The topic of this report emerged from contacting directly with Portuguese SMEs throughout the activities that this company provided. It is only true that SMEs are considered the backbone of the economy, this combined with the disasters that devastated Portugal in the year of 2017, more precisely forest fires, made the way and helped choosing this theme, the curiosity to better understand how the aid coming from Portugal 2020 could help to revitalize the affected companies. Initially, a bibliographic research was made, to understand more about natural disasters, their motives and repercussions focusing mainly on forest fires, since they represent the biggest and most common natural disaster in the Portuguese territory especially during hottest months. In this report, some attempts have been made to explore the impact of Portugal 2020 aid on Portuguese companies more specifically, the aid aimed for the reposition of the economic activity in the counties affected by the fire of 17 of June. The main goal was trying to find a bond between the aid, the ability of companies to restructure themselves and their capacity to regenerate or modernize, and somehow try to understand the actual capacity that such aid has for the effective improvement of these companies. Secondly, it has been addressed the curricular internship, a description of the company in matter and its services and goals, the objectives of the internship and the performed task. Finally a critical analysis of the whole internship has been made.
