Relação entre os Estilos Educativos Parentais, a Confiança Interpessoal e a Vinculação aos Pais, Pares e Par Amoroso na Adolescência

Abstract

A presente investigação tem como objetivo principal estudar a relação entre os Estilos Educativos Parentais, a Confiança Interpessoal e a Vinculação aos Pais, Pares e Par Amoroso no período da Adolescência. É também estudado o efeito preditor dos Estilos Educativos Parentais nos construtos mencionados. Considerou-se ainda oportuno analisar os Estilos Educativos Parentais, a Vinculação Amorosa e a Confiança Interpessoal no Par Amoroso tendo em atenção diversas variáveis sociobiográficas. A amostra utilizada para esta investigação é constituída por 170 adolescentes, com idades compreendidas entre os 12 e os 17 anos. Para a investigação foram utilizados os seguintes instrumentos: Questionário Sociobiográfico; a escala de Crenças Generalizadas de Confiança – Adolescência Tardia (CGC-A); a Escala de Estilos Educativos Parentais (EEEP), o Inventário da Vinculação na Adolescência (IPPA) e o Questionário de Vinculação Amorosa (QVA). Os resultados permitem constatar a existência de associações positivas significativas entre os Estilos Educativos Parentais e a Vinculação aos Pais, Pares, Par Amoroso e Confiança Interpessoal, bem como a existência de um efeito preditor dos Estilos Educativos nas variáveis mencionadas. Além disso, verificou-se que os Estilos Educativos Parentais diferem em função da idade, mas não apresentam diferenças significativas em função do género, nível socioeconómico e estado civil parental. Verifica-se ainda que não existe uma associação significativa entre a duração da relação amorosa dos adolescentes, os Estilos Educativos e a Confiança Interpessoal no Par Amoroso. Por último são analisados os Estilos Educativos, Vinculação Amorosa e Confiança Interpessoal no Par Amoroso tendo em consideração várias situações amorosas. Comparando os grupos “já manteve uma relação amorosa/nunca teve uma relação amorosa”, verifica-se que estes não provocam diferenças significativas nas variáveis mencionadas. No entanto, comparando a situação amorosa “Está numa relação/não está numa relação” tendo em conta as mesmas variáveis, encontram- se diferenças ao nível da Vinculação Amorosa.

This investigation seeks to study the relationship between Parental Educational Styles, Interpersonal Trust, and the Attachment to Parents, Peers and to the Loving Couple in the period of Adolescence. The predictive effect of the Parental Educational Styles in the mentioned constructs is also studied. It was also considered interesting to analyze the Educational Styles, Romantic attachment and Interpersonal Trust, taking into account several sociobiographic variables.The sample used for this investigation consists of 170 adolescents, aged between 12 and 17 years. Data collection was made using the following instruments: Sociobiographic Questionnaire; The Parental Educational Styles Scale (EEEP), the Generalized Trust Beliefs scale-Late Adolescents (CGC-A), the Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment (IPPA) and the Romantic Attachment Questionnaire (QVA).The results show significant positive associations between Parental Educational Styles and Parents, Peers and Romantic Attachment, as well as Interpersonal Trust. In addition, they also show the existence of a predictive effect of the Educational Styles on the mentioned variables. Furthermore, it was found that the Parental Educational Styles differ according to the age, but do not present differences according to the gender, socioeconomic level and marital status of the parents. It has also been found that there is no significant association between the duration of a relationship between adolescents, Educational Styles and Interpersonal Trust. Finally, the analysis focuses on the Educational Styles, Romantic Attachment and Interpersonal Trust taking into account various romantic situations. Comparing the groups "had a love relationship/never had a love relationship", it becomes clear that they do not present significant differences in the mentioned variables. However, by comparing the romantic situation "in a relationship/ not in a relationship" taking into account the same variables, there are significant differences in the Romantic Attachment.
