Relatório de Estágio. Mestrado em Análises Clínicas

Abstract

O presente relatório de estágio pretende descrever as actividades que acompanhei e realizei durante os seis meses de estágio curricular, realizado no Coimbralab – Laboratório de Análises Clínicas Cruz de Celas LDA., no âmbito do curso de Mestrado em Análises Clínicas, da Faculdade de Farmácia da Universidade de Coimbra.O estágio teve como objectivo a integração na actividade profissional das análises clínicas, proporcionando oportunidades para adquirir experiência na execução de técnicas laboratoriais, que compõem as valências leccionadas no decorrer do curso: Bioquímica, Imunologia, Microbiologia e Hematologia. Para além disso, aprofundei o meu conhecimento teórico nestas áreas ao acompanhar a interpretação dos resultados e validação biopatológica.As valências desenvolvidas neste relatório são a Hematologia e a Bioquímica.Na Hematologia, foi desenvolvido fundamento teórico das análises realizadas nesta área do Coimbralab, obtido através da bibliografia consultada e no conhecimento obtido durante o estágio. Com esse objetivo foco nesse capítulo as populações quantificadas e observadas no sangue periférico e nos processos da hemóstase.Na Bioquímica, é desenvolvido o método de detecção dos testes bioquímicos em questão e o interesse clínico que estes têm ao serem estudados, isto baseado na bibliografia disponível.No final do relatório, como conclusão, é realizado um balanço geral do estágio e do próprio mestrado, indicando na minha perspectiva os pontos fortes e fracos desta experiência e identificando possíveis aspectos a melhorar no meu reportório, para melhor exercer funções na área de Análises Clínicas.

This report shows the activities which I observed and performed in 6 months of curricular internship, held at the Coimbralab – Laboratório de Análises Clínicas Cruz de Celas LDA., in the context of the Master in Clinical Analysis of the Pharmacy Faculty of Coimbra University. The internship was aimed at integration in the professional activity of clinical analysis, providing opportunities to earn experience in the execution of laboratory techniques, which make up the core topics taught throughout the course: Biochemistry, Immunology, Microbiology and Haematology. In addition, I further developed my knowledge in these fields by following up the interpretation of results and their validation.The fields developed in this report are Haematology and Biochemistry.In the field of Haematology, it’s described the tests performed in Coimbralab, with basis on the referenced bibliography and in the knowledge acquired during the internship. It’s focused in this chapter the theoretical concepts about the cell populations studied and quantified in the peripheral blood and about the biochemical process involved in the study of haemostasis.In Biochemistry, it’s described the method of quantification of the biochemical tests practiced in the lab and their clinical interest.At the end of this report, for its conclusion, I’ll make a summary and balance of this internship and master’s degree, stating my perspective on the strong and weak points of this experience and identifying new ways to improve my abilities to work in the future as a Clinical Analysis professional.
