Perspectiva Futura do Joelho na Lesão do Ligamento Cruzado Anterior

Abstract

Introdução: A articulação do joelho é uma das mais sujeitas a lesões, devido à sua estrutura anatómica e à exposição a forças externas a que está sujeita. O LCA forma com o LCP o pilar central dos ligamentos do joelho. As metas do tratamento das roturas do ligamento cruzado anterior são a restauração da estabilidade do joelho, o tratamento da dor e a recuperação da funcionalidade. A ligamentoplastia por via artroscópica tem sido o procedimento cirúrgico mais realizado para conseguir esses objetivos.Objetivo: Averiguar quais as variáveis que proporcionam o melhor resultado funcional do joelho no pós-operatório da cirurgia de reconstrução do LCA. As variáveis avaliadas foram o questionário IKDC, os fatores relacionados com a lesão e o pós-operatório, anamnese e exame clínico.Métodos: Foram analisados 41 doentes submetidos a ligamentoplastia, com lesão unilateral isolada do LCA, nos CHUC, tendo decorrido pelo menos um ano sobre a cirurgia. O tipo de estudo é descritivo porque pretende informar sobre a distribuição de um evento, na população, em termos quantitativos. Resultados: A lesão do LCA é mais frequente nos jovens ativos e praticantes de uma atividade física, nomeadamente futebol. Intervalo entre lesão e cirurgia mais curto e tempo de recuperação médios de seis meses relacionou-se com os melhores valores para as variáveis estudadas, o que pode indicar um resultado ótimo para a funcionalidade do joelho a longo prazo. Conclusão: Pré-operatório mais curto e pós-operatório mínimo de seis meses têm melhores avaliações nos testes aplicados e nos resultados funcionais avaliados.

The Knee future Perspective In Anterior Cruciate Ligament Injury.Introduction: The knee joint is one of the most subject to injury, due to its anatomical structure and exposure to external forces to which it is subjected. The LCA forms with the LCP the central pillar of the knee ligaments. The goals of treatment of anterior cruciate ligament ruptures are restoration of knee stability, pain management and recovery of function. Arthroscopic ligamentoplasty has been the most successful surgical procedure to achieve these goals.Objective: To determine the variables that provide the best functional results of the knee in the postoperative period of ACL reconstruction surgery. The variables evaluated were the IKDC questionnaire, the factors related to the injury and the postoperative period, anamnesis and clinical examination.Methods: A total of 41 patients underwent ligamentoplasty, with isolated unilateral lesion of the ACL, were analyzed in the CHUC, and at least one year after the surgery. The type of study is descriptive because it intends to report on the distribution of an event, in the population, in quantitative terms.Results: ACL injury is more frequent in young active and practicing physical activity, namely football. Interval between injury and shorter surgery and mean recovery time of six months was correlated with the best values ​​for the variables studied, which may indicate an optimal outcome for the long-term knee function.Conclusion: The shorter preoperative and the minimum postoperative period of six months have better evaluations in the applied tests and in the functional results evaluated.
