As redes sociais permitem as dinâmicas hipertextuais onde a cultura, as ideias e as informações replicam padrões de comportamentos e potencializam novas ideias. Estas plataformas permitem que o diálogo seja cada vez mais rápido e interativo. A potência de expansão é muito importante, pois é a chave do processo de colaboração entre várias pessoas de todos os cantos do mundo.O Facebook vem estreitar mais esta ligação entre as pessoas, no sentido em que estando todos em rede, possibilita que, em qualquer parte do mundo, essas pessoas, possam ver-se, comunicar e interagir.Aa redes sociais são neste momento algo importante nas vidas das pessoas, numas mais do que outras e, por isso, este relatório pretende demonstrar a importâncias delas.“Será que estas são fundamentais para o dia-a-dia? Serão elas um exemplo a seguir? Pois bem, cada vez mais se tem vindo a intensificar a ideia de que as crianças desde muito novas já sabem o que são redes sociais e tudo o que gira à volta delas. Assim, torna-se fundamental perceber as suas características, os seus conceitos, as suas origens, as suas finalidades, os seus públicos e o quanto abrangentes elas são.A existência das redes sociais mudou o mundo e irá mudar cada vez mais. Mas será algo prejudicial? Deparemo-nos com uma evolução constante a nível mundial.Uma dessas redes sociais que teve um maior ênfase na sociedade chama-se Facebook. Esta trouxe para a sociedade uma realidade que não era para todos, pois as redes sociais não eram assim tão conhecidas e desenvolvidas. Com o surgimento do Facebook passou-se a ter algo em que todas as pessoas passaram a ter curiosidade e a querer ter.
