Title: | Associação de quebramares submersos com diferentes configurações: Análise de eficiência | Authors: | Simões, Sara Carolina Santos | Orientador: | Carmo, José Simão Antunes do Coelho, Carlos Daniel Borges |

salvaguardem a atração turística e promovam o desenvolvimento sustentável.
aplicações e resultados sobejamente conhecidos - o GENESIS.
preliminares que são objeto de desenvolvimento no âmbito deste trabalho Currently, the Portuguese coast is quite fragile, requiring urgent remedial measures which satisfy both the essential protection, safeguard tourist attraction and promote sustainable development. One of the possible remedial measures is the use of detached breakwaters or artificial reefs, rightly located in relation to the coastline and with dimensions, shapes and construction materials that meet those requirements. More specifically, it is intended that an artificial reef to install not only have the protective functions of natural systems, such as beaches and dunes, but also contribute to environmental improvement and to the viability of sports activities like surfing, diving and fishing. For this, we will use a numerical model with broad applications and results well known - the GENESIS. This model allows us to analyze the behavior of a breakwater or associations of detached breakwaters, waves sequences, periods and directions, diffraction effects and sediment transportation by waves with oblique incidence. Therefore it meets the essential requirements for the preparation of preliminary studies that are the subject of development in this work |
