Capoeira do Brasil: vias de patrimonialização

Abstract

Este trabalho de conclusão de mestrado busca identificar o uso do termo imaterial para nomear o patrimônio resultado da produção humana e respectivamente sua cultura. Para tal reconta-se em termos breves a história e teoria do patrimônio cultural, desde suas concepções iniciais no século XVIII até a política dos séculos XX e XXI. Assim observa-se que o patrimônio cultural ao longo dos séculos, principalmente na viragem dos anos 2000, passou a ter conotação política de legitimação de intenções administrativas e com objetivos de atribuição de valor conforme o consumo do turismo cultural e a perder o sentido enquanto prática de auxílio. Compreendendo este contexto de construção das identidades culturais e sua relação com patrimônio cultural, analisa-se o processo de registro da Capoeira enquanto patrimônio cultural do Brasil. Percebe-se que apesar de uma reconstituição histórica, o registro da Roda de Capoeira e do Ofício de Mestre de Capoeira não é garantia de salvaguarda, tampouco continuidade de políticas para manutenção do bem cultural. É fundamental avançar nas análises sobre o patrimônio cultural, legitimando o bem cultural a partir da contribuição deste na construção da identidade nacional.

This work of conclusion of master search to put the question of the use of the term immaterial to nominate the heritage that by itself come from the humane production e self culture. So far is mandatory a gathering and retelling the history and theory of cultural heritage, from it first conceptions in XVIII century until the policy of XX and XXI century. In this terms it is clarified that in theses century, mainly at the years 2000, the cultural heritage policy hat a political intention to legitimate and to contribute for more touristic value, what have made the practices and heritage policies lose their effective as a help to guarantee the cultural diversity. Once this context is with the cultural identities correlated and also with the cultural heritage, we analyze the registration process of the Capoeira as a cultural heritage of Brazil. Although this process is able to make a historical reconstitution, as a cultural heritage the registry of the Roda de Capoeira and the Ofício de Mestre de Capoeira it isn’t able to guarantee the practices, or even to establish a continued public policies to maintain the cultural heritage as it is understood, and in consequence the social degradation of Capoeira masters in aging, and so forth loosing the meaning of cultural heritage in maintaining the cultural knowledge that comes from popular oral tradition.
