Title: | Memórias de infância, vinculação e funcionamento alexitímico | Authors: | Maduro, Ana Isabel Ramos | Orientador: | Paixão, Rui Alexandre | Keywords: | Alexitimia; Memórias de infância; Vinculação | Issue Date: | 2012 | Serial title, monograph or event: | Memórias de infância, vinculação e funcionamento alexitímico | Place of publication or event: | Coimbra | Abstract: | Sendo a alexitimia encarada como um possível factor de risco
Utilizou-se o Inventory for Assessing Memories
of Parental Rearing Behavior (EMBU), a Escala de Vinculação do Adulto
Being the Alexithymia seen as a possible risk factor for the development of various clinical disorders, this article aims to assess the influence of childhood memories and styles of attchment of the student population in the traits development of alexithymia. This study was carried out on a sample of 190 subjects in higher education in the city of Coimbra, and used the Inventory for Assessing Memories of Parental Rearing Behavior (EMBU), the Adult Attachment Scale (AAS), the Difficulties Emotion Regulation Scale (DERS) and Toronto Alexithymia Scale (TAS). The results indicate that subjects, who have childhood memories mainly related to increased rejection by the father and overprotection by the different parental caregivers (EMBU), tend to show greater difficulties in emotion regulation (DERS) and greater alexithymia (TAS). The dismissing avoidant profile (EVA) was the only style of attchment that showed a statistically significant predictor effect on the last ones, in the negative way. No statistically differences were found in terms of "lack of emotional awareness" (factor 3 of DERS). |
