This implies that this combination of languages may share a vast cultural legacy to varying degrees. The topic we analyze is that of sentences with fronted WH-question words with focus marking in BVP, compared with parallel sentences in Atlantic creoles. Our proposal develops the concept of a highlighter or focus marker, presented in Holm (1980), found in restructured languages from the Americas to the Indian Ocean that “highlighted the world” | URI: | https://hdl.handle.net/10316/14404 | ISSN: | 0103-9415 | Direitos: | openAccess |
