Oficina-Museu Nunes Pereira: Fragmentos de um artista Proposta de exposição

Abstract

This report is the result of a curricular internship at the Nunes Pereira Workshop-Museum, which is located at the Seminário Maior in Coimbra, as part of the Master's programme in Cultural Heritage and Museology, in the field of museology, at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Coimbra.Created with the aim of perpetuating the memory of Canon Augusto Nunes Pereira through his exhibitions, this Workshop-Museum has been looking for ways to captivate the public and get them interested not only in his life, but also in the work he did throughout his life.In an attempt to summarise the five months spent at this institution, the first phase of this report seeks to contextualise the reader in relation to the emergence of the museum as an institution, but also as a theoretical concept, also referring to the idea of exhibitions, exploring their importance and how they can be carried out in a way that appeals to the public. Next, the tasks carried out during the course of the internship are discussed, which centred on collecting and analysing the presence of Father Nunes Pereira in the Correio de Coimbra newspaper between 1925 and 1937, thus deepening our knowledge of the Monsignor's life and work, so that it can be integrated into the museological project of possible future exhibitions at the Nunes Pereira Workshop-Museum of the Coimbra Major Seminary, thus giving greater visibility not only to the Workshop-Museum of Nunes Pereira, but also the Seminario Maior de Coimbra and artist itself.

O presente relatório é o resultado do estágio curricular desenvolvido na Oficina-Museu Nunes Pereira que se encontra localizada no Seminário Maior de Coimbra, no âmbito do Mestrado em Património Cultural e Museologia, mais concretamente na vertente de Museologia, da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Coimbra.Criada com o objetivo de perpetuar a memória do cónego Augusto Nunes Pereira, através das suas exposições, esta Oficina-Museu tem vindo a procurar formas de cativar o público e fazê-lo interessar-se não só pela vida, mas também pela obra por este realizada ao longo de toda a sua vida.Procurando sintetizar os cinco meses de estágio passados nesta instituição, numa primeira fase do presente relatório, procura-se contextualizar o leitor relativamente ao surgimento do museu enquanto instituição, mas também enquanto conceito teórico, referindo-se também a ideia de exposições, explorando-se a sua importância e a forma como estas podem ser realizadas de forma apelativa ao público. De seguida abordam-se as tarefas desenvolvidas ao longo do estágio curricular, que se centrou na recolha e análise da presença do Padre Nunes Pereira no jornal Correio de Coimbra, entre os anos de 1925 e 1937, aprofundando, desta forma, o conhecimento relativo à vida e obra do Monsenhor, para que possa ser integrado no projeto museológico de possíveis futuras exposições na Oficina-Museu Nunes Pereira do Seminário Maior de Coimbra, possibilitando assim uma maior visibilidade à Oficina-Museu, ao Seminário Maior de Coimbra e à figura de Nunes Pereira.
