Biography
Maria do Castelo Gouveia is an Adjunct Professor at Coimbra Business School | ISCAC, Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra, where she has taught Mathematics, Computer Information Systems, and Operational Research. Maria do Castelo is a researcher at INESC COIMBRA Institute for Systems and Computer Engineering Coimbra and a collaborator at the Centre for Business and Economics Research at Coimbra University (CeBER). She has a degree in Mathematics from the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Coimbra (1997). She has a Master in Information Management in Organizations from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra (2002) and a Ph.D. in Organization and Business Management from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra (2012), specialty in Operational Research. Her main area of research is Decision Support Systems and Methodologies, emphasizing the development of models for evaluating the evolution of efficiency and productivity through the technique of Data Envelopment Analysis. She is Vice President of ISCAC's Council and a member of the Scientific-Technical Committee of Coimbra Business School | ISCAC. She is the author of some articles published in international journals (indexed in Web of Science and Scopus) in Management Science and Information Systems.
