O Estado da Arte do Conflito Intragrupal: Uma revisão bibliométrica

Abstract

As equipas e grupos de trabalho têm-se revelado fundamentais para a estrutura organizacional e a sua gestão tem constituído vários desafios para os líderes das organizações relativamente àquilo que é a coordenação do trabalho, a motivação e satisfação dos seus colaboradores. Um desses desafios é a emergência do conflito a nível grupal. O aumento do interesse sobre o conflito nos grupos e equipas de trabalho deve-se ao facto de ser um acontecimento inevitável nas organizações e, consequentemente, exercer um forte impacto nas dinâmicas do grupo. A presente investigação teve como objetivo sistematizar, analisar e refletir sobre a literatura produzida no período compreendido entre 2010 e 2020 acerca do conflito intragrupal. Para cumprir o objetivo enunciado, realizou-se uma análise bibliométrica. Com base numa “keyword search” (634 publicações) e uma “citation search” (113 publicações), através da base de dados Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI) e Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), incluídas na Web of Science, foi possível identificar os autores de referência, a tipologia dos documentos publicados, bem como as revistas, países e as categorias/domínos mais ativos acerca do conflito intragrupal, na última década. Recorrendo ao software VosViewer foram, também analisados dois mapas bibliométricos – co-ocorrência de keywords e o acoplamento bibliográfico de referências. Estes mapas permitiram obter uma perspetiva ampla do campo de investigação acerca do conflito intragrupal, identificando os documentos mais relevantes, correntes e linhas de literatura dominantes, bem como tendências de investigação que caracterizam as 113 publicações incluídas na amostra utilizada. Em seguida, são discutidos e analisados os resultados obtidos a partir das diferentes análises e, também, os aspetos mais relevantes a retirar do nosso estudo. Por fim, o presente trabalho é concluído com a apresentação dos contributos e limitações da investigação realizada e, também, com a apresentação de pistas para investigações futuras.

The teams and work groups have proved to be fundamental for the organizational structure and their management has constituted several challenges for the leaders of organizations regarding what is the coordination of work, the motivation and satisfaction of their employees. One such challenge is the emergence of group-level conflict. The increased interest in conflict in groups and work teams is due to the fact that it is an inevitable event in organizations and, consequently, exerts a strong impact on group dynamics. The present investigation aimed to systematize, analyze and reflect on the literature produced in the period between 2010 and 2020 about intragroup conflict. To fulfill the stated objective, a bibliometric analysis was carried out. Based on a “keyword search” (634 publications) and a “citation search” (113 publications), through the Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI) and Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) database, included in the Web of Science, it was possible to identify the authors of reference, the typology of published documents, as well as the most active journals, countries and categories/domains about intragroup conflict in the last decade. Using the VosViewer software, two bibliometric maps were also analyzed – co-occurrence of keywords and bibliographic coupling of references. These maps allowed us to obtain a broad perspective of the field of research on intragroup conflict, identifying the most relevant documents, currents and dominant lines of literature, as well as research trends that characterize the 113 publications included in the sample used. Then, the results obtained from the different analyzes are discussed and analyzed, as well as the most relevant aspects to be taken from our study. Finally, the present work is concluded with the presentation of the contributions and limitations of the research carried out and, also, with the presentation of clues for future investigations.
