Abstract: Currently, countries are competing to provide better services to citizens, by automating their services and making them available on the Internet. This makes citizens lives easier, by reducing the time and e ort they spend interacting with the public administration. With the smartphone revolution, these services have become even more available and closer to the citizen. Unfortunately, electronic government (e-government) services are varied and di erent, because they belong to di erent institutions. Furthermore, each institution may use speci c technology in those services. In Portugal, a lot of e-government services have been already automated and are available on the Internet. Until now, however, there is no mobile application that allows citizens to interact with these services. This project studies the Portuguese e-government services and understands Portuguese government portals, in order to develop a mobile platform that manages the main obligations of citizens to the state and makes them work under a single application, using a coherent and simple to use interface.
