Galeria académica do Museu da Ciência da Universidade de Coimbra, o património como um desafio para a educação

Abstract

O presente relatório pretende enquadrar e descrever as atividades desenvolvidas no âmbito do estágio curricular do Mestrado em Ciências da Educação na Faculdade de Psicologia e Ciências da Educação, da Universidade de Coimbra. O estágio decorreu no ano letivo de 2018/2019 na Galeria Académica do Museu da Ciência da Universidade de Coimbra, tendo como objetivo principal perceber de que forma a educação está presente num contexto museológico. Tendo o acervo da galeria como foco as tradições e costumes da vida estudantil e comunidade Coimbrã. De forma a contextualizar as ideias referidas ao longo do relatório foi realizado um enquadramento concetual acerca do património e a sua importância para a educação, a museologia e por fim a educação patrimonial, de maneira a fundamentar as propostas realizadas e as atividades desenvolvidas ao longo do estágio. As atividades na Galeria Académica tiveram como principal objetivo a divulgação da instituição junto do público-alvo selecionado – estudantes da Universidade de Coimbra e Instituto Politécnico de Coimbra, sendo importante a referência da parceria estabelecida entre a Galeria Académica e a Comissão Organizadora da Queima das Fitas, que proporcionou a aproximação entre a instituição e os estudantes. No presente relatório é central a leitura do património como um meio educativo essencial para o desenvolvimento do sujeito, sendo esta ainda uma realidade difícil de explorar. Portanto, é possível verificar alguns pontos de vista de diversos autores, que foram essenciais para a decisão de aproximar os estudantes de Coimbra à Galeria Académica do Museu da Ciência da Universidade de Coimbra.

This report presents the context and the activities in the context of the curricular internship of the Master of Education at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Coimbra. The internship took place at the academic year 2018/2019 at the Academic Gallery of the Science Museum of the University of Coimbra, with the main objective of realizing how education is present in a museological context. With the gallery's collection as a focus on the traditions and customs of student life and the Coimbrã communityIn order to contextualize the ideas mentioned throughout the report, a conceptual framework about heritage and its importance for education, museology, and heritage education was carried out, in order to sustain the proposals made and the activities developed in the internship.The activities at the Academic Gallery had as main objective the promotion of the institution among the selected target audience – the students from the University of Coimbra and the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra, being important the partnership established between the Academic Gallery and the Organizing Committee of Queima das Fitas, which provided an approximation between the institution and the students.In this report, it is central the understanding of heritage as a main educational subject for human development, that is still difficult to explore. Therefore, it is possible to verify thought of several authors, which were essential for the decision to bring students from Coimbra to the Academic Gallery of the Science Museum of the University of Coimbra.
