Produção de espetáculos ao vivo em Coimbra - Relatório de estágio no Salão Brazil / JACC

Abstract

Neste relatório, faz-se uma descrição do estágio curricular realizado no Salão Brazil no âmbito da assistência de produção de espetáculos culturais e artísticos ao vivo.Identificamos o Salão Brazil e o JACC, é narrada um pouco da sua história e abordam-se todas as iterações que são desenvolvidas pelo Jazz ao Centro Clube, tal como o seu papel e o seu impacto na cidade de Coimbra. Analisa-se o trabalho regular e diário no Salão Brazil, são estudados três casos específicos em que o autor participou, concluem-se várias reflexões opinativas sobre o estado do Salão Brazil, da cultura em Coimbra e lançam-se questões pertinentes sobre o futuro desta área. Estas considerações são baseadas na experiência do estagiário no Salão Brazil e noutras entidades culturais de Coimbra como a Rádio Universidade de Coimbra e o Palco RUC.É de interesse tanto para a Universidade de Coimbra como para o Salão Brazil uma partilha de conhecimentos, de experiências, de perspetivas que não só juntem as duas entidades, mas que partilhem essas novas dinâmicas que são criadas após o estágio curricular, que se possa aprender com esta partilha e que se possam desenvolver novas ligações e novas parcerias a partir deste estágio. A partir da experiência pessoal do estagiário, este Relatório deve servir como um resumo dos modos operativos, dos funcionamentos singulares e da imagem visual e identidade ideológica do Salão Brazil para o Departamento de História, Estudos Europeus, Arqueologia e Artes da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Coimbra, e servirá também como uma narrativa pessoal sobre o trabalho pessoal do estagiário.

In this report, we describe the curricular internship that I chose to work in at Salão Brazil, working mainly under the production of live artistic and cultural shows. We identify Salão Brazil and the Jazz ao Centro Clube, tell a small summary of the histories of these two entities and all the different projects and initiatives that are developed there and finally we analyse its impact and role in Coimbra. On a more direct note, the day-to-day work on the Salão and three different case studies are approached and detailed. I defend some personal perspectives on the state of culture in Coimbra, the Salão’s future and lastly I raise questions that might be the bigger dilemmas that the city is facing against.It is of both the University's and the Salão's interest that this knowledge, these experiences, these perspectives not only draws together both entities, but also enriches them with the sharing of these dynamics that are created after the internship, with the new learnings being shared through this report. It is also the hope that this type of internships permits the development of new connections and new partnerships.Starting from the personal experience of the intern, this Report should serve as a summary of the operative methods, of the unique types of work and of the visual image and ideological identity of the Salão Brazil for the Department of History, European Studies, Archeology and Arts of the Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Coimbra, and it should serve also as a personal narrative about the intern's personal work.
