Abstract: This report is related to the curricular unit of Pedagogical Internship and Report of the Master Degree in the Teaching of Biology and Geology in the 3rd Cycle of Basic Education and in Secondary Education, held in the academic year 2018/2019, at the Basic and Secondary School Dr. Francisco Freitas Branco, located in Porto Santo Island. The participants were one class from the 10th grade and three classes from the 8th grade. The trainee teacher, referred to in this report, addresses the process of “teaching and learning”, based on the development of pedagogical and social skills, in a reflective and constructive practice, being crucial for the professional development for teaching. The pedagogical internship is a moment of enormous importance, because a link is established between theory and practice, that is, it moves from the elaboration of lesson plans to teaching. This action leads to constant reflection and evaluation of the teaching strategies and methods used, which are improved, making them more motivating for students and of higher quality in the teaching-learning process. The main objective of this internship was to implement teaching strategies according to students from two different school years: 10th and 8th grade, respectively. The specific objectives were to teach the themes from Biology, photosynthesis and chemosynthesis for the 10th grade students, and natural resources for the 8th grade students, to be understood by the students, to choose the most appropriate activities for them, to involve the syllabus with the students' experience in order to insert them in society. This report describes all the activities carried out during the school year, accompanied by critical reflections. The evaluations made to the students were of different forms: behavior, summative tests, participation, and elaboration of Gowin's V. To assess the previous knowledge that students had on each topic, a diagnostic test (8th grade) was established and a “brainstorming” (10th grade) was carried out. 10th grade students were interested and motivated, asking pertinent questions in class. In solving paper and pencil activities, they revealed knowledge of the subject taught. In the laboratory practical activity, they were motivated and participative, concluding the activity successfully. The 8th grade students showed, in general, good behavior and motivation, above all in the activity with hand samples of coals, revealing previous knowledge about natural resources, except for some issues related to geological and pedological resources. In the classes taught, most students successfully completed paper and pencil activities.
