This thesis aims to analyze the way in which space is perceived by people and, consequently, how they move naturally in the building without any previous knowledge of the built environment. Following this reasoning, we will reflect on how the intelligibility inherent to the morphology of the space, in parallel with its complementary spatial characteristics condition and influence the movement realized by the users. Applying methods and concepts developed by Space Syntax, we intend to analyze factors such as integration, connectivity and depth of each space in regard to the whole system. At the same time, other characteristics that give the space its architectural specificity will also be analyzed, as these are expected to influence in the same way the natural movement carried out by users. This proposal will focus on two cases studies: the Museum of Electricity and the Museum of Art Architecture and Technology. The selected buildings have as a common factor the program that they shelter and diverge essentially in the origin and purpose with which they were designed. In addition to the buildings themselves, the exhibitions present in two different periods will be analyzed, creating three different phases of analysis. Analyzing the two above-mentioned components and through human movement recording techniques, we intend to understand, in the last instance, how space is experienced and enjoyed by the users.
