A Disforia de Género nos Menores: a sua relevância na análise crítica da Lei nº 38/2018, de 7 de agosto

Abstract: Gender dysphoria is characterized by the discomfort or affective/cognitive impairment experienced by a person, due to a discrepancy between the biological sex and the gender identity. This is is an issue that affects not only adults but also minors. In august 2018, a new legal regime was made consecrating the Right to the gender identity self-determination and gender expression and the Right to the protection of the sexual characteristics of every person. Resumo: A Disforia de género, caracteriza-se pelo desconforto ou mal-estar afetivo/cognitivo experienciado por uma pessoa, causado por uma discrepância entre o sexo biológico e a identidade de género. Esta é uma problemática que afeta não só adultos como também menores. Em agosto de 2018, um novo regime legal foi criado em Portugal consagrando o Direito à autodeterminação da identidade de género e expressão de género e o Direito à proteção das características sexuais de cada pessoa.
