Work has been through many changes, both at the level of professional identity and technologies or procedures for intervention. We live today in a time of constant scientific development and progression in Social Work, being professional identity one of the main issues.. Thus, it is crucial to discuss about a practice articulated with theory, and this is where this research emerges, aiming the analysis of basic concepts for Social Work, starting, on one hand, from the theoretical models proposed by Viscarret, and on the other hand, the triangular vision of Payne, about Social Workers characteristics on their professional practice..An online survey was applied to a sample of 54 Social Workers, who put themselves before a set of statements of each one of the visions of Payne.. Three of these subjects were interviewed, in order to deepen the results previously collected, relating them with the models presented by Viscarret. An online survey was applied to a sample of 54 Social Workers, who put themselves before a set of statements of each one of the visions of Payne. Three of these subjects were interviewed, in order to deepen the results previously collected, relating them with the models presented by Viscarret. The results show that most of the Social Workers position themselves in an individualist-reformist or therapeutic-reflexive perspective and only few in a socialist-collectivist or mixed view. The results show that most of the Social Workers position themselves in an individualist-reformist or therapeutic-reflexive perspective and only few in a socialist-collectivist or mixed view.. | eng |
