As migrações e a diversidade cultural no ensino de geografia: proposta de trabalho de campo.

Abstract

O presente relatório surge no âmbito de um Estágio Pedagógico inserido no Mestrado em Ensino de Geografia no 3º ciclo do Ensino Básico e no Ensino Secundário realizado no Colégio São Teotónio de Coimbra, cujo objetivo é a descrição das atividade e estratégias pedagógicas desenvolvidas ao longo do ano letivo de 2015/2016, assim como o aprofundamento dos temas “As Migrações” e a “Diversidade Cultural” através de dois trabalhos científicos desenvolvidos no Seminário I e II. Na conjuntura da Iniciação à Pratica Pedagógica pretende-se adotar uma estratégia pedagógica, que é o trabalho de campo, centrado no tema posteriormente aprofundado.A motivação para a escolha deste Mestrado foi, primeiramente, o gosto pela Geografia adquirido muito antes de qualquer formação académica, quando ainda frequentava o Ensino Secundário. Além disso, a vontade de ensinar condicionou a escolha de querer seguir a carreira de docente como profissão futura pelo quão gratificante esta é, pois” Quem ensina aprende ao ensinar e quem aprende ensina ao aprender” (Freire, Paulo: 2002).Um professor não é só um detentor do conhecimento mas também alguém que concentra em si a capacidade de transmitir aquilo que sabe, influenciando os seus alunos ao mesmo tempo que desperta o interesse dos mesmos, motivando-os a querer saber mais sobre determinado assunto, tendo um papel importante no desenvolvimento cognitivo do aluno, pois “ensinar é muito mais que apenas transmitir informação” tal como “aprender é mais do que apenas absorver o que foi ensinado” .Relativamente ao presente relatório, para além do contato com aquilo que é a realidade escolar ao participar no estágio pedagógico, foi aprofundado ao longo do ano letivo um tema científico, para posteriormente ser didatizado e aplicado no contexto sala de aula, a escolha teve como base a consulta do Programa e Metas Curriculares da Direção-Geral da Educação, relativas à disciplina de Geografia do 3º Ciclo do Ensino Básico. A escolha recai nos conteúdos programáticos do 8ºAno de escolaridade, ano onde decorreu o estágio pedagógico durante o presente ano letivo. Escolhidos os temas a abordar e as questões fundamentais para o desenvolvimento dos mesmos, surge assim título do projeto “As migrações e a Diversidade Cultural em Coimbra” cujos principais objetivos no estudo deste tema é a compreensão das dinâmicas relativas às migrações na cidade de Coimbra e de que forma é que essas dinâmicas contribuem para uma marcada diversidade cultural e como é que a mesma se encontra presente no espaço, que resulta da permanência quotidiana dos diferentes migrantes e as suas variadas origens. Além disso a pertinência do tema relaciona-se com o panorama que se vive atualmente na Europa com a crise dos refugiados e os desafios que os países europeus terão que enfrentar com uma europa multicultural. Ao longo do relatório será apresentado, como já referido anteriormente, o aprofundamento teórico do tema em estudo, centrando-se posteriormente num estudo de caso mais específico que é a cidade de Coimbra, bem como a descrição das atividades que irão sendo desenvolvidas ao longo do estágio pedagógico e as experiências de cariz pedagógico que foram aplicadas e desenvolvidas no contexto sala de aula e no contexto do meio escolar.

This report comes in the contexto of a Teacher Internship inserted in the Masters degree in Geography Teaching of the 3rd cycle of Basic Education and Secundary Education held inthe college of São Teotónio of Coimbra, whose objective is the description of activity and teaching strategies developed during the academic year 2015/2016, as wel as expand topies “ The Migration” and “Cultural Diversity” by two scientific works developed in seminar I and II. In addition, the desire to teach has conditioned the choice of wanting to follow the career of a teacher as a future profession for how rewarding this is, since "Teachers learn by teaching and by whom they learn by learning" (Freire, Paulo: 2002). Is not only a holder of knowledge but also someone who concentrates on himself the ability to transmit what he knows, influencing his students while arousing their interest, motivating them to want to know more about a certain subject, having a role Important in the student's cognitive development, since "teaching is much more than just transmitting information" such as "learning is more than just absorbing what has been taught". In addition, the relevance of the theme is related to the current situation in Europe with the refugee crisis and the challenges that European countries will have to face with a multicultural Europe. Throughout the report will be presented, as previously mentioned, the theoretical deepening of the topic under study, focusing later on a more specific case study that is the city of Coimbra, as well as the description of the activities that will be developed throughout the The pedagogical stage and the pedagogical experiences that have been applied and developed in the context of the classroom and in the context of the school.
