Entre margens: da juventude à idade adulta avançada

Abstract

O presente relatório é relativo ao estágio curricular do Mestrado em Ciências daEducação, da Faculdade de Psicologia e de Ciências da Educação da Universidade deCoimbra, no ano letivo 2017/2018. O estágio desenrolou-se em dois momentos e locaisdistintos, sendo que a primeira parte decorreu durante um período aproximado de quatromeses, entre setembro e dezembro de 2017, num Centro de Dia integrado na rede derespostas sociais da Associação Nacional de Apoio ao Idoso. Esta parte do estágio tevecomo objetivos principais: Integrar a equipa de profissionais da Oficina do Idoso;compreender qual é o papel do/a Mestre em Ciências da Educação numa resposta socialde Centro de Dia para pessoas idosas; planificar atividades educativas para pessoas idosase, por fim, promover o bem-estar, a qualidade de vida e o envelhecimento ativo daspessoas idosas. Foi elaborado um plano de atividades semanal, contendo diversos blocostemáticos que fossem ao encontro das necessidades, aptidões e preferências pessoais dosutentes: jogos; desenvolvimento psicossocial; atividades de expressão plástica;estimulação cognitiva; ações de prevenção e/ou sensibilização; informática; música;cinema. No enquadramento teórico será feita uma breve caracterização sociodemográficada população idosa em Portugal, bem como será abordado o tema do envelhecimento e oparadigma do envelhecimento ativo. Ainda no mesmo capítulo, faremos uma reflexãosobre o papel do/a Mestre em Ciências da Educação no âmbito da educação e formaçãode adultos, bem como na gerontologia educativa. No capítulo seguinte, apresentaremos adescrição das atividades constantes no plano supracitado, concluindo esta primeira partecom a auto e heteroavaliação. A segunda parte do estágio decorreu entre fevereiro e junhode 2018, no Serviço de Juventude da Câmara Municipal de Abrantes. Tivemos comoobjetivos principais: Integrar a equipa de profissionais do Serviço da Juventude daCâmara Municipal de Abrantes; desempenhar funções enquanto futura Mestre em Ciências da Educação numa Câmara Municipal; planificar atividades educativas para a população jovem do concelho; e apoiar na divulgação das atividades dinamizadas pelo Serviço da Juventude. No enquadramento teórico serão abordadas algumas problemáticas associadas aos jovens e de que modo as atuais políticas nacionais e internacionais conseguem colmatar essas necessidades e dar respostas sociais adequadas. No capítulo seguinte, apresentaremos o projeto de estágio e a descrição das atividades realizadas, bem como a auto e heteroavaliação, à semelhança da primeira parte do relatório. Concluiremos

This report is related to the curricular internship of the Master's Degree in EducationalSciences, in Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of University of Coimbra,in the academic year of 2017/2018. The internship occurred in two different momentsand places, with the first part taking place during an approximate period of four months,between September and December of 2017, in a Day Care Center integrated in thenetwork of social responses of the Associação Nacional de Apoio ao Idoso. This part ofthe internship had as main objectives: To integrate the team of professionals of Oficinado Idoso; to understand the role of the master in educational sciences in a socialresponse as a Day Care Center; to plan educational activities for the elderly, and,finally, to promote the well-being, the quality of life and the active aging of the users. Aweekly activity plan was drawn up, containing several thematic blocks that met theneeds, skills and preferences of the users: games; psychosocial development; plasticexpression activities; cognitive stimulation; prevention and/or awareness-raisingactions; computer science; music; cinema. In the theoretical framework, it will be madea brief sociodemographic characterization of the elderly population in Portugal, as wellas an approach to the theme of aging and the paradigm of active aging. Also, in thesame chapter, we will reflect on the role of the Master in Educational Sciences in adulteducation, as well as in educational gerontology. In the following chapter, we willpresent the description of the activities in the above-mentioned plan, concluding thisfirst part with the self and hetero-evaluation. The second part of the internship tookplace between February and June of 2018, in the Youth Service of the City Council of Abrantes. We had as main objectives: to integrate the team of professionals of the Youth Service of the City Council of Abrantes; to carry out functions as future Master of Educational Sciences in a City Hall; to plan educational activities for the young population of the county; and to support the dissemination of activities carried out by the Youth Office. The theoretical framework will address some issues associated with youth and how current national and international policies can meet these needs and provide adequate social responses. In the next chapter, we will present the internship project and the description of the activities carried out, as well as the self and heteroevaluation,like in the first part of the report. We will conclude with a general review, reflecting critically on the course outlined in this school year.
