“Projetar o futuro face a fatores desfavoráveis” A Intervenção Comunitária num Centro Social da Legião da Boa Vontade

Abstract

No âmbito do Mestrado em Educação e Formação de Adultos e Intervenção Comunitária (MEFAIC), via Profissionalizante, toma forma o presente relatório, intitulado de “Projetar o futuro face a fatores desfavoráveis. A Intervenção Comunitária num Centro Social da Legião da Boa Vontade.”Este foi desenvolvido ao longo do Estágio Curricular, correspondente ao segundo ano do MEFAIC, tendo-se realizado na organização não-governamental (ONG), ramificada a nível mundial, a Legião da Boa Vontade. Decorreu na Delegação de Coimbra, sita na Avenida Fernão Magalhães, nº 155. Esta é uma das delegações em Portugal, sendo que a sua sede em Portugal, é na Cidade do Porto.O primeiro objetivo deste Relatório é descrever as atividades desenvolvidas ao longo do estágio que visaram, essencialmente, sensibilizar pessoas desfavorecidas economicamente, para a aprendizagem ao longo da vida, tendo em conta todos os recursos disponíveis atualmente na área de educação e formação de adultos, nomeadamente os de aumento de escolarização, formação e qualificação, que nos permitem fortalecer face à sociedade atual, quer a nível pessoal, social e principalmente, a nível profissional. As pessoas que tem trabalhos precários ou que são desempregadas, em especial as de longa duração, tendem a evidenciar maiores fragilidades em termos económicos, o que contribui para a sua pobreza e consequentemente para a exclusão social.Na primeira parte faremos referência aos conceitos teóricos que sustentam o trabalho desenvolvido no terreno, nomeadamente o enquadramento da área de Educação e Formação de Adultos, o trabalho com pessoas adultas carenciadas, pobreza e fatores associados e as respostas sociais existentes. Seguidamente, far-se-á a caracterização da instituição, bem como da população utente. A terceira parte será constituída pelos objetivos gerais e específicos do Estágio em questão, na quarta faremos uma descrição detalhada das atividades aí desenvolvidas. Por último constará a auto e heteroavaliação do mesmo.

The present report, entitled "Projecting the future against unfavourable factors. Community Intervention in a Social Center of Legião da Boa Vontade", takes shape within the Master in Adult Education and Training and Community Intervention (MEFAIC), Vocational Training. It was developed during the Curricular Internship, which corresponds to the second year of MEFAIC, and took place in the non-governmental organisation widespread around the world Legião da Boa Vontade, more precisely in its Delegation in Coimbra, located in Avenida Fernão Magalhães, nº 155. This is one of its delegations in Portugal, and the head office in Portugal being in the city of Oporto.The first objective of this Report is to describe the activities carried out during the internship, which were essentially aimed at raising economically disadvantaged people’s awareness of lifelong learning, taking into account all the resources currently available in the area of adult education and training, in particular those that increase schooling, training and qualification and allow us to strengthen ourselves in the face of today's society, at the personal, social and professional levels. People who have precarious employment or who are unemployed, especially those who are long-term unemployed, tend to show greater vulnerability as far as economy is concerned, which contributes to their poverty and consequently to social exclusion. In the first part of this report, we will refer to the theoretical concepts that support the work developed in the field, namely the framework of the Adult Education and Training area, the work with needy adults, poverty and associated factors and the existing social responses. After that, the institution and the user population will be characterised. The third part will explain the general and specific objectives of the internship, while the fourth will provide a detailed description of the activities developed there. Finally, the self and hetero-evaluation of the internship will be included.
