Title: | Gestão da manutenção de infraestruturas ferroviárias | Other Titles: | Rail Infrastructure Maintenance Management | Authors: | Pires, Pedro Nuno Ferreiro Duarte | Orientador: | Ferreira, Adelino Jorge Lopes | Keywords: | Via-Férrea; Manutenção; KRAB; Veículo Aéreo Não Tripulado; Railway; Maintenance; KRAB; Unmanned Aerial Vehicle | Issue Date: | 21-Feb-2018 | Serial title, monograph or event: | Gestão da manutenção de infraestruturas ferroviárias | Place of publication or event: | DEC-FCTUC | Abstract: | As operações de manutenção e renovação (M&R) foram sempre tema de preocupação dos gestores ferroviários e nos dias que correm mais ainda devido à situação económico-financeira do país. The maintenance and renovation operations (M&R) were always a concern for the railway managers and nowadays even more taking into account the economic-financial situation wherein the country is. The main part of the expenses of operations (M&R) goes to the track superstructure that degrades due to the railway circulation and this is what this work is about. In the last decade, the modernization and improvement of the railway infrastructure has been a subject of debate. The Transports and Infrastructure Strategic Plan has defined a Railway Investment Plan in Portugal until 2020 which aims to strengthen this kind of people and goods transportation. This plan, that will promote the use of this transport, will facilitate exports and will ensure the connection between the main national ports and the land borders with Spain thus will promote a sustainable economic and social growth.Through this work it will be made a brief explication of how the railways conservations is done by the competent entities using a practical example. This practical component involves an intervention of the company Infraestruturas de Portugal in the Vouga line. There the company is planning to replace nine thousand wooden sleepers in strategic locations. A description of a slope inspection made by an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle will also be described. The final results will provide a better understanding of all process and how decision-making must be made. |
