Brincar e a realidade – estudo exploratório sobre a influência da parentalidade no brincar

Abstract

O lugar da criança ao longo da história e o surgimento da infância tiveram vários avanços e recuos. Todo este processo foi acompanhado pelo brincar e por mudanças sociais e familiares. Várias são as dúvidas, de qual o lugar que a criança ocupa hoje, na sociedade e quais as transformações sociais que a têm vindo a influenciar. Vendo como ponto fulcral o brincar, que é a tarefa primordial para uma infância feliz e um desenvolvimento saudável, destaca-se o brincar entre pais e crianças, já que esta partilha demonstra a importância e o tempo de qualidade partilhados entre estes, onde ambos ganham e a criança cresce. Este estudo pretende analisar de que maneira o brincar pode estar a ser “destruído” ou não pela realidade vivenciada pelas crianças e se os pais e as mães estão ou não a conseguir assegurar às crianças uma realidade saudável recheada de brincadeiras.Para a análise destas componentes foi desenvolvido um questionário de opinião. A amostra total deste estudo é de 838 (N) sujeitos, sendo a população alvo, pais com filhos com idades compreendidas entre os 0 e os 4 anos. Este trabalho rege-se pela metodologia de um estudo exploratório, onde o objetivo será o de levantar questões pertinentes para futuras investigações. Foi realizada uma análise estatística descritiva recorrendo às frequências absolutas e a estatísticas inferenciais com o teste do Qui-quadrado. Numa análise geral, compreendemos que o lugar da criança continua em transformação e que não se deve encarar este como um dado adquirido. Destacamos também a relevância dos cuidados terceirizados e a fragilidade da qualidade da relação parental. Referimos ainda que o brincar não parece ser a escolha primordial dos pais que parecem viver divididos entre o Eu e o Eu ideal.

The place of the child throughout history and the rise of childhood have had several advances and backwards. All this process was accompanied by play but, also, by social and family changes. There are many doubts about the place that the child holds today in the society and which social changes have been influencing it. Seeing as the central point, the play, which is the primary task for a happy and healthy development of children, it is worth emphasising the play between parents and children, since this sharing demonstrates the importance and quality time shared between these, where both win and the child grows. This study aims to analyze how play can be "destroyed" or not, by the reality experienced by children and whether or not parents are able to ensure children a healthy reality filled with games.For the analysis of these components, an opinion questionnaire was developed. The total sample of this study is 838 (N) subjects, being the target population, parents with children between 0 and 4 years old. This work is directed by the methodology of an exploratory study, where the objective will be to raise pertinent questions for future investigations. A descriptive statistical analysis was performed using absolute frequencies and inferential statistics with the chi-square test. In a general analysis, we understand that the child's place continues to be transformed and that this place should not be taken for granted. We also highlight the relevance of outsourced care and the fragility of the quality of the parental relationship. We also mention that playing does not seem to be the primary choice of parents and that the reality of childhood seems to be full of paradoxes. We also point out that play doesn’t seem to be the primary choice of parents wh seem to live divided between the Self and the ideal Self.
