Conhecer a realidade social do lugar de projeto em contexto académico. Uma aproximação ao Bairro da Relvinha

Abstract

Com este trabalho pretende-se compreender de que modo podem os alunos de arquitetura aprender a entender um lugar enquanto realidade social, podendo tomar isso como conhecimento para intervir em projeto. Considerando as vivências humanas como parte da compreensão e caracterização dos espaços em arquitetura, o seu entendimento em âmbito académico apresenta-se como fundamental, podendo ser desenvolvido de várias formas nas Escolas de arquitetura, seja por meio do ensino de projeto ou por meio do cruzamento disciplinar com as ciências sociais e humanas. A concretização da motivação é dada no conhecimento do objeto de estudo, Bairro da Relvinha, pela construção metodológica de uma aproximação ao mesmo. Através do estudo para análise da realidade social do Bairro da Relvinha, esta Dissertação poderá informar um workshop previsto para 2018 entre professores e alunos, no âmbito de um projeto de investigação a decorrer, consistindo numa proposta de intervenção efetiva. Partindo de uma experiência prática suportada por investigação teórica, procura-se concluir acerca da aplicação de métodos que possam informar a disciplina de arquitetura e o contexto particular em estudo. Pretende-se, com a descrição e empreendimento de processos e ferramentas que visem conhecer os agentes sociais do lugar, realizar uma reflexão crítica acerca da oportunidade que as Escolas de arquitetura têm para sensibilizar os futuros arquitetos para as questões relacionadas com as vivências humanas como conhecimento significativo para o exercício projetual.

With this work we intend to understand how architecture students can learn to perceive a place as a social reality, being able to integrate that knowledge into their projects. Considering human experiences as part of the characterization of spaces in architecture, their understanding in the academic scope is fundamental and can be developed in several ways by the Schools of architecture, either through the subject of the design studio or by integrating multidisciplinary contributes from the social and human sciences.The motivation is achieved by the knowledge attained about the object of study, Bairro da Relvinha, through the construction of a methodological approach to it. The analysis of the social reality of the neighborhood of Relvinha done by this Dissertation can inform a workshop to be developed in 2018 between teachers and students, within a research project under development, consisting on a proposal for an actual intervention. Starting with a practical experience supported by theoretical research, we seek conclusions about the application of methods that can inform the subject of architecture and this particular context under study. With the description and development of the processes and tools aimed at getting to know the social agents of the place, we intend to make a critical reflection about the opportunity the Schools of architecture have to sensitize the future architects to the questions related to human experiences as significant knowledge for the design practice.
