Memórias ficcionais da emigração portuguesa em livro de José Luís Peixoto

Abstract

Neste artigo analisa-se o romance Livro de José Luís Peixoto (2010), enquanto narrativa que reelabora as memórias da grande vaga migratória portuguesa para França nas décadas de 1960 e 1970 do século passado. Propõe-se tecer algumas reflexões sobre as formas como as memórias se apresentam na escrita literária e sobre a presença do escritor no romance como instância enunciadora que elabora uma ficcionalização do próprio eu, pertencente, enquanto filho de emigrantes regressados a Portugal antes de ele nascer, a uma segunda geração, de pós-memória, sendo descendente de quem vivenciou diretamente esta vaga migratória.

This article analyses the novel Livro by José Luís Peixoto (2010) as a narrative that re-elaborate memories of the huge migration flux from Portugal to France during the 60s and 70s of the last century. The aim is to present some reflections regarding the forms how these memories are presented in the literary text and about the presence of the writer in the novel, as an enunciating instance that elaborates a fictionalized form of himself. José Luís Peixoto is a son of emigrants that returned to Portugal shortly before he was born; he belongs to a second generation, of post-memory, and he is a direct descendant of those that lived this migration experience.
