Abstract: Today it is almost impossible to talk about teaching without technology. Educators are generally aware that today's students have been growing up surrounded by technology that keeps them in touch with the world as well as constantly accessing all kind of information. Therefore, it seems, now more than ever, that it is fundamental to guide students in understanding the different ways they can use the information they receive and, especially, how to filter that same information in order to improve their knowledge and skills. Based on these ideas we developed a study that will use a mobile technology (the iPad) in History classes, seeking to stimulate and develop critical thinking and complex reasoning, based on connectivism and constructivist theories.
