Relato sobre a Copa do Mundo: os deslocamentos pela cidade em dias de jogos

Abstract

Em março de 2014 o NAU - Núcleo de Antropologia Urbana da USP – São Paulo, propôs incursões etnográficas com a finalidade de acompanhar a Copa do Mundo de Futebol no Brasil. Cada pesquisador (a) que integrou a proposta fez incursões pela cidade de acordo com seu interesse de pesquisa e assim, alguns(mas) agiram individualmente e outros (as), em duplas, trios e grupos. No momento, como pesquisadora visitante integrei-me à proposta com intuito de observar os deslocamentos dos citadinos no dia da abertura da Copa do Mundo em São Paulo. As reflexões das (não) regularidades dessa prática em dia de megaevento me levaram a escrever o seguinte relato. Acompanhei o deslocamento de citadinos que iriam assistir ao jogo dentro do estádio do Itaquerão e também, daqueles que ficaram fora dele. Minha experiência etnográfica manteve o foco nos percursos daqueles que assistiram ao jogo dentro do Itaquerão; o contraponto do relato é constituído pelo deslocamento daqueles que assistiram ao jogo fora do estádio, ou seja, que realizaram o percurso como o outro.

In March 2014 the Núcleo de Antropologia Urbana (NAU) proposed short ethnografic study trips to the Football World Cup in Brazil. Each researcher that took part in this proposal made short trips through the city in accordance to his or her research interest and thus, some made individual trips and others went on in doubles, trios or groups. At the moment, as a visitant researcher I took part in this proposal with the intuition of observing the differences in transportation and locomotion of the city’s inhabitants on the day of the World Cup opening in São Paulo. Reflecting on the practices (none) regularities during a mega event lead me to write this report. I accompanied the locomotion of the audience that would watch the game inside the Itaquerão Stadium on their way to the premise as well as of those that stayed outside. My ethnographic experience maintained its focus on the trajectory of those who watched the game inside the Itaquerão; the report’s counterpoint consists of the locomotion of those who watched the game outside the stadium, that is, who realized the trajectory as the other.
