formas.
In sports, the human body is put to the test in many different ways. Although his practice is considered an healthy act, there are a limit to the solicitations that the human body can be subjected. In these cases the benefit of sport can turn into problems for the athlete's health. This thesis conducted a biomechanical evaluation of a basquetball team during the practice of the same. This review focuses mainly on the assessment of exposure to vibration in the hand-arm system, according to international standard ISO 5349. The values obtained are compared with international benchmarks, indicated by directive No. 2002/44/EC currently in use in the country. The experimental method adopted was the instrumentation of a sports glove, namely with accelerometers that is attached to it, which acquired acceleration values for the evaluation of exposure to vibration. It was made also some tests with some volleyball players and then the values were comparated with the ones on basquetball. The main results and conclusions of this experiment indicate that the recommended values of daily exposure to vibration are not exceeded. The occurrence of impacts and vibrations leads to high musculoskeletal solicitations of the athlete, especially at the arms, wrists and knees. For frequent and prolonged exposure to the vibrations and the effort presented in this work, are listed as probable negative effects on the health of the players, sciaticas, hernias, chondromalacia patella, carpal tunnel syndrome, epicondylitis and vascular problems. However, the exposure of an basquetball player is not happen and it is not daily rate, and should be considered a recovery factor in the period in which this athlete is not exposed. Nevertheless, there isn´t much information to calculate this factor, so, it was not taken into account in this evaluation. |
