Revisão bibliográfica sobre o efeito da colocação e remoção repetida dos pilares na reabsorção óssea peri-implantar

Abstract

Atualmente o uso de implantes para substituição de peças dentárias ausentes é uma opção previsível, cada vez mais segura e eficaz, pelo que o seu uso se expandiu significativamente. Os sistemas de implantes mais utilizados na reabilitação oral são constituídos por duas partes, o implante e o pilar. Existem diversos tipos de pilar, desde os pilares de cicatrização, provisórios, de impressão e definitivos. Normalmente, os diferentes tipos de pilares são colocados e removidos sobre o implante diversas vezes em várias fases da reabilitação protética. O microgap existente entre estes dois componentes e o rompimento dos tecidos moles que acontece sempre que o pilar é removido e recolocado pode influenciar a remodelação óssea peri-implantar. Na presente tese, pretende-se efetuar uma revisão e comparação bibliográfica sobre o tema, de modo a determinar a influência da remoção e recolocação dos pilares na reabsorção do osso peri-implantar. Currently the use of implants for replacement of missing tooth is an predictable option, increasingly safe and effective, and their use has expanded significantly. The implant systems used in most oral rehabilitation consist of two parts, the implant and the abutment. There are several types of abutments, such as healing abutmet, provisional abutment and definitive abutment. In the course of prosthetic reabilitation, the abutments are disconnected and reconnected to the implant several times. The microgap between the two components and the disruption of the soft tissue that occurs each time the two are disconnected and reconnected are though to influence bone resorption aroud implant. In this thesis, we intend to make a comparison and review of the literature on the subject, in order to determine the influence of the repeated disconnection and reconnection of the pillars in bone resorption peri-implant.
