Aplicação Web para Gestão de Associados

Abstract

Nowadays, society pays more attention to web applications than to desktop application, and there is a huge amount of variety: from open social networks to streaming services of video and/or music. This project's main goal was to develop a web app to manage the members of the IAIST association, making an app useful for both the associates and the association managers. The project went through di erent phases, starting by the state of the art study, where various competitors web applications, for membership management, were analysed. After this phase the requirements de nition started. These were gathered thanks to some meetings with the goal of describing all the important requirements for the system. With all the requirements gathered and described, the time came to start de ning the system's architecture, de ning its model and the entity-relationship diagram with the goal of depicting the way the database is organised. Next, development started, divided in modules and then integrated with each other. After this phase the deployment of the web application to the remote server was initiated, at the same time the application was being tested through unit and functional tests. During the testing phase the usability evaluation tests methodology was also studied and prepared. This web application makes it possible for new associates to register and pay their anual fees, so that the administrator can then manage all the members of the IAIST. It's also possible for users to register in events created through the web application. Throughout this project, some challenges have occurred that were overcome by the author resulting in a nal web app that is online and ready to be used by the association.
