Abstract: Microencapsulation technology is of interest to a wide range of industries, including pharmaceutical, food, agricultural, biotechnological, cosmetic, and other industries with various significant advantages (1). A major application of microencapsulation technique in the pharmaceutical field is controlled or sustained drug delivery. In these past hear it was created various technologies that allowed the parenteral the administration of hydrophobic drugs, such as microencapsulation. One of these techniques is the Emulsion Congealing Technique. The objective of this experiment was to see the influence of different parameters in the shape and size of microparticles, using a hydrophobic drug for a parenteral administration; and to find an optimal protocol for this objective.
