Projectando "casas" numa instituição : perspectivas antropológicas sobre processos de inclusão social de mulheres

Abstract

O presente trabalho visa reflectir etnograficamente sobre os processos vividos por um grupo de mulheres identificadas pelo “sistema de protecção social” como em situação de “vulnerabilidade” ou de “exclusão social” e que, por isso, necessitaram de ser ajudadas com medidas de acolhimento temporário por uma instituição. Ao escolherem, ou ao aceitarem, residir num equipamento social, uma “Comunidade de Inserção”, as mulheres e jovens mulheres eram apoiadas na construção dos seus projectos de vida que deveriam ser desenhados com base nas suas “necessidades” e “vontades concretas”. Neste processo de inclusão social, podiam contar, sobretudo, com a ajuda e assistência transversal das equipas que aí trabalhavam. Pelas suas perspectivas, pelo modo como percebem, experienciam e significam o momento virtualmente transformador que atravessam, procura-se revelar a dimensão plural, por vezes ambígua e contraditória, que o viver numa “instituição” e o aceitar tentar construir um novo projecto de vida assume. Deste modo, as mulheres e jovens mulheres conduzem-nos, comparativamente, para reflexões que não dizem apenas respeito a elas, mas a todos nós.

The work presented aims to think ethnographically on the processes experienced by a group of women identified by the ‘welfare system’ as in a situation of ‘vulnerability’ or ‘social exclusion’ and, therefore, needed to be helped by measures of temporary accommodation by an institution. By choosing, or by accepting, to live in a social facility, a ‘Community of Inclusion’, women and young women were supported in building their life projects that should be designed based on their ‘needs’ and ‘concrete wills’. In this process of social inclusion, they could count on, mainly, with the help and transversal assistance of the teams that worked there. Through their perspectives, the way they perceive, experience and mean the moment virtually transforming, it seeks to disclose the plural dimension, sometimes ambiguous and contradictory, that living in an ‘institution’ and accepting to try to build a new life project takes. Thus, women and young women lead us, comparatively, to reflections that do not concern only them but all of us.
