Relatório de estágio em análises clínicas

Abstract

No presente relatório são descritas as atividades realizadas no estágio, no âmbito do Mestrado em Análises Clínicas, da Faculdade de Farmácia da Universidade de Coimbra. O estágio teve lugar no Hospital Amato Lusitano, na cidade de Castelo Branco, onde tive a oportunidade de integrar a rotina normal de funcionamento do laboratório, nas áreas de Hematologia, Microbiologia, Bioquímica e Imunologia. Neste relatório é feita uma caracterização geral do Serviço de Patologia Clínica e da sua dinâmica de funcionamento, e uma breve descrição das atividades realizadas nos setores de Hematologia e Microbiologia. Mais detalhadamente, são discutidas as secções de Bioquímica e Imunologia, dando algum ênfase ao diagnóstico laboratorial de hepatites virais, uma área de particular interesse

The following report describes the activities developed in the curricular internship of the Master degree in Clinical Analysis of the Faculty of Pharmacy of University of Coimbra. The internship took place at the Amato Lusitano Hospital in Castelo Branco, where I had the opportunity to integrate the normal operating routine of the laboratory in the areas of Hematology, Microbiology, Clinical Biochemistry and Immunology. In the present report is made a general characterization of the Clinical Pathology Service and its working dynamics and a brief description of the activities carried out in Hematology and Microbiology sectors. Clinical Biochemistry and Immunology are discussed in more detail, giving some emphasis on laboratory diagnosis of viral hepatitis, an area of particular interest
