Vinculação e reconhecimento emocional

Abstract

O presente artigo enquadra-se na linha de trabalhos sobre a Vinculação e o reconhecimento emocional. Tem como objetivos avaliar a relação entre a Vinculação no adulto e o reconhecimento emocional, bem como a possível mediação da Extroversão. Numa primeira fase foram traduzidos para a Língua Portuguesa dois instrumentos de avaliação da Vinculação. Numa segunda fase, utilizando uma amostra de 269 sujeitos, foi avaliado o poder preditivo da Vinculação no reconhecimento emocional ao nível das expressões faciais e ao nível paralinguístico. Numa terceira fase, estudou-se ainda a possibilidade da Extroversão exercer uma mediação nesta relação. Os resultados encontrados mostram que o poder preditivo da Vinculação não se verificou em vários dos casos em análise, não se tendo encontrado um padrão conclusivo do sentido dessa predição. Finalmente, verificou-se que a Extroversão é predita pela Vinculação, mas não exerce um papel mediador no reconhecimento emocional.

This article follows the line of work on Attachment and emotional recognition. The aim of this work is to study the relationship between adult Attachment and emotional recognition, as well as the possible mediation role of Extraversion. In the first phase, two Attachment instruments were translated to Portuguese. In a second step, using a sample of 269 subjects, the predictive power of Attachment in emotional recognition in facial expressions and at the paralinguistic level was studied. In a third phase, the possibility of a mediation role of Extraversion in this relationship was addressed. The results show that the predictive power of Attachment was not observed in several cases, and it was not possible to find a conclusive pattern on the direction of the prediction. The Extraversion is predicted by Attachment, but does not have a mediating role in emotional recognition.
