Auto-supervisão no jardim de infância: contributos da observação e da voz das crianças

Abstract

Este trabalho pretende abordar alguns aspetos do processo de auto-supervisão em educação de infância, incidindo na mediação obtida pela observação e análise das perceções das crianças. Nesta linha pretende-se analisar o contributo de alguns instrumentos utilizados na prática educativa, com vista à promoção e melhoramento da qualidade da educação de infância. Tendo como objeto de estudo as perceções das crianças sobre a dinâmica do jardim de infância e a prática da educadora, realizou-se um estudo fenomenológico-interpretativo, de modo a recolher dados que permitissem alcançar os objetivos anteriormente enunciados. Para tal, as 10 crianças, que constituem a amostra, foram entrevistadas e observadas, mediante a utilização de três fichas de observação distintas (incidindo sobre oportunidades educativas, envolvimento e bem-estar). Os dados recolhidos na entrevista foram tratados com o recurso à análise de conteúdo, estabelecendo-se a triangulação entre estes e os dados obtidos através da observação. Deste modo, foi possível verificar que: as perspetivas das crianças espelham a prática educativa da educadora e o ambiente educativo vivido na Casa da Criança Maria Granado; os resultados obtidos permitem obter uma visão global da prática educativa da educadora bem como do respetivo contributo para a aprendizagem e desenvolvimento das crianças; os instrumentos são úteis e a sua utilização nos contextos de educação de infância constitui uma mais-valia para o processo de observação, registo e análise da prática educativa, numa perspetiva de auto-supervisão, apoiando o processo de autoanálise e de autoavaliação da educadora.

This paper aims to address some aspects of the process of self-supervision in early childhood education, focusing on mediation obtained by observation and analysis of the perceptions of children. Within this line, it is intended to analyse the contribution of some instruments used in educational practice, aiming to promote and improve the quality of early childhood education. Having as its object of study the perceptions of the children regarding the dynamics of the kindergarten and the practice of the educator, a phenomenological-interpretive study was held, in order to collect data that would allow achieving the objectives formerly mentioned. For this end, 10 children, the ones that constitute the sample, were interviewed and observed through the use of three distinct observation sheets (focusing on educational opportunities, involvement and well-being). The data collected in the interview were treated with the use of content analysis, establishing the triangulation between these and the data obtained through observation. Thus, we found that: the perspectives of children mirror the educational practice of the educator and the educational environment lived in the Children's House Maria Granado; the results obtained allow us to get an overview of the educational practice of the educator as well as its contribution for learning and development of children; the instruments are useful and their use within the contexts of early childhood education is an asset to the process of observation, recording and analysis of educational practice, within a perspective of self-supervision, supporting the process of self-analysis and self-assessment of the educator.
