A "Palavra Larga" : mulheres nas revistas portuguesas de poesia contemporânea : três estudos de caso na "outra tradição"

Abstract

Esta dissertação toma por objecto de estudo a produção poética portuguesa no contexto das revistas de poesia, entendidas na linha de Charles Bernstein, como “instituições alternativas à cultura oficial”. Apresenta-se, como estudo de caso, a análise de três revistas de poesia portuguesa contemporâneas e de três mulheres poetas portuguesas que nelas publicam. Recorro a vários contributos e problematizações teóricas, apoiando-me no conceito de poesia da “outra tradição”, enunciado pela teórica norte-americana Marjorie Perloff, nos contributos da L=A=N=G=U=A=G=E School, no modelo agonista de linguagem proposto por Jean Jacques Lecercle e no conceito de “literatura menor” de Deleuze e Guattari. As questões literárias, políticas e epistemológicas que estas propostas teóricas nos apresentam são trabalhadas, empiricamente, a partir das revistas de poesia portuguesa contemporâneas e da poesia escrita por mulheres. Verifica-se o predomínio de revistas que se mantêm numa poética “ventríloqua”, que repete formas usadas – num discurso que é, simultaneamente, lírico, confessional e discursivo. No entanto, mostro como algumas revistas de poesia da “outra tradição” resistem, tal como as poéticas de mulheres resistem, nas suas constelações identitárias, políticas e sociais – nesse espaço de “inquirição” (Hejinian, 2000) que interrompe o discurso da “cultura oficial”.

The present dissertation takes as study object portuguese poetic production in the context of poetry magazines, understood in the line of Charles Bernstein as “alternative institutions to the official culture ”. The analysis of three Portuguese contemporary poetry magazines and three Portuguese women poets who publish in them is presented as the underlying case study. I resort to various contributions and theoretical problematizations, grounding myself in the context of poetry from the “other tradition”, enunciated by the north-American theorist Marjorie Perloff in the contribution of the L=A=N=G=U=A=G=E School, in the agonist language model proposed by Jean Jacques Lecercle, and in the concept of “minor literature” of Deleuze and Guattari. The literary, political and epistemological issues presented by said theoretical proposals are empirically operated, from contemporary Portuguese poetry magazines and poetry written by Portuguese women. Despite the predominance of magazines which maintain a “ventriloquial” poetry, repeating used forms – in a discourse that is simultaneously lyrical, confessional and discursive –, I demonstrate how Portuguese poetry magazines and women’s poetics from the “other tradition” resist, in their social, political and identity constellations, within the “inquiring” space that interrupts the discourse of the “official culture”.
