CONTRIBUTOS DA ANTROPOLOGIA SOCIAL E CULTURAL PARA A FORMAÇÃO EM ANIMAÇÃO SOCIOEDUCATIVA: FUNDAMENTOS TEÓRICOS E INTERVENÇÃO NO TERRENO

Abstract

Apresentamos neste artigo as vantagens que o ensino da Antropologia oferece para o ensino da Animação Socioeducativa, licenciatura da Escola Superior de Educação de Coimbra, tanto em termos teóricos quanto metodológicos, traduzidas nos trabalhos interdisciplinares em Antropologia Social e Cultural e Atelier de Análise Social da Educação. Estas vantagens prendem-se com uma sensibilização para o respeito pela diversidade e identidade culturais dos grupos sociais sobre os quais incidem as intervenções em Animação Socioeducativa, desconstruindo, a partir das perspetivas da Antropologia, noções como desenvolvimento unilinear das sociedades humanas, explicações etnocentristas de fenómenos sociais ou a identificação da aculturação como resultado inevitável do contacto entre diferentes grupos sociais e (sub)culturas. Prendem-se ainda com os benefícios epistemológicos e práticos trazidos pelo trabalho de campo - técnicas etnográficas, voluntariado e contacto prolongado com os grupos sociais estudados - para a fundamentação das intervenções, no terreno, que constituirão o âmbito profissional destes estudantes.

In this article we present the advantages that the teaching of Anthropology offers for the teaching of Socio-Educational Animation, an academic degree in Escola Superior de Educação de Coimbra, both in theoretical and methodological terms, translated into interdisciplinary works in the subjects of Social and Cultural Anthropology and Atelier of Social Analysis of Education. These advantages relate to raising awareness of the importance of respect for cultural diversity and identity of the social groups on which interventions in Socio-Educational Animation focus, deconstructing, from the theoretical perspectives of Anthropology, notions such as the unilinear development of human societies, ethnocentric explanations of social phenomena or the identification of acculturation as an inevitable result of the contact between different social groups and (sub)cultures. They relate also to the epistemological and practical advantages that fieldwork - ethnographic techniques, volunteer work and prolonged proximity to the studied social groups - has for the foundation of the interventions that will constitute the scope of action of these students as professionals in the field.
