Abstract

“Rádio São Miguel 93.4 FM broadcasts 24 hours a day, with its own production, focusing on its role as a company during the night and early morning; information composed of at least three regional news programs at the beginning and end of the day; one and the other supported by musical and playful components, carefully selected and prepared.”What are we going to hear today? is a short film made as a Final Project for the Master's Degree in Artistic Studies, specialization in Film and Image Studies. The film tells the story of Rádio São Miguel 93.4 FM through the testimonies of those who have stayed there, since its foundation, through contact with listeners and its role in combating isolation and loneliness in old age - while the three women behind the station they guide us through its nooks and crannies and through the charms of Castanheira de Pera.The present work aims to report the development of the construction of the short film, from the conception of its initial idea to its completion, covering all phases of the creative process for preparing the project and making the film. I also sought to reflect on the learning I acquired throughout the master's degree I attended, which I tried to put into practice in the design of the final project - exploring in detail each of the points that, with the theory and practice that I have been acquiring over the years, helped me It helped (conceptually and technically) to build a rich, complex and artistically sensitive work, of which I am proud and intend to take it further.During the construction of this written work, my intention was always to try to show, in the clearest way possible, the path taken during the period of creation of this short documentary film - so I tried to portray, in detail, each of the phases that required (pre-production, production and post-production) including references to inspirations, team training, changes to the idea, conceptualization, difficulties in the process (among many others) until achieving the final result, in its definitive form.

O que é que a gente vai ouvir hoje? é uma curta-metragem realizada como Trabalho de Projeto Final do Mestrado em Estudos Artísticos, especialização em Estudos Fílmicos e da Imagem. O filme conta a história da Rádio São Miguel 93.4 FM através dos testemunhos de quem lá permanece, desde a sua fundação, ao contacto com os ouvintes e ao papel da mesma no combate ao isolamento e à solidão na terceira idade - enquanto as três mulheres por detrás da emissora nos guiam por entre os recantos da mesma e por entre os encantos de Castanheira de Pera.O presente trabalho tem como objetivo relatar o desenvolvimento de construção da curta-metragem, desde a conceção da sua ideia inicial até à sua conclusão, abordando todas as fases do processo criativo para a elaboração do projeto e a realização do filme. Busquei ainda refletir acerca das aprendizagens que adquiri ao longo do mestrado que frequentei, que procurei por em prática na conceção do projeto final - explorando detalhadamente cada um dos pontos que, com a teoria e prática que tenho vindo a adquirir ao longo dos anos, me veio a ajudar (conceitualmente e tecnicamente) a construir um trabalho rico, complexo, e sensível a nível artístico, do qual me orgulho e tenciono levar mais longe.Durante a construção deste trabalho escrito, a minha intenção passou sempre por tentar transparecer, da forma mais clara possível, o caminho percorrido durante o período de criação desta curta-metragem documental - pelo que procurei retratar, de forma detalhada, cada uma das fases que a mesma exigiu (a pré-produção, a produção e a pós-produção) fazendo por incluir referências a inspirações, formação da equipa, alterações na ideia, conceptualização, dificuldades no processo (entre vários outros) até atingir o resultado final, na sua forma definitiva.
