Title: | Um olhar epigráfico sobre três lápides sepulcrais em cemitérios portugueses | Other Titles: | An epigraphic look at three tombstones in Portuguese cemeteries | Authors: | Encarnação, José d' | Keywords: | Epitáfios; opções políticas; religiosidade | Issue Date: | 5-Jan-2024 | Publisher: | UniRio - Universidade do Rio de Janeiro | Serial title, monograph or event: | Revista M | Volume: | 9 | Issue: | 17 | Place of publication or event: | Rio de Janeiro | Abstract: | Alude-se a frases retiradas de epitáfios da época romana a documentar como são reflexo de uma vivência. Phrases of Roman epitaphs show us how their cultural world was very present in them. Similarly, the three actual epitaphs analysed in this essay. The first one shows how the decoration is indicative of his social class: is a tzigane. The second is the claim against a political murder. Finally, another one, with a simple biblical notation, is a public religious declaration. | URI: | https://hdl.handle.net/10316/111227 | ISSN: | 2525-3050 | DOI: | 10.9789/2525-3050.2023.v9n17.e13036 | Rights: | openAccess |
