ARRIFE 22-CENTRO DE SERVIÇOS TURÍSTICOS: FERRAMENTAS DE SIMULAÇÃO VIRTUAL COMO INSTRUMENTOS DE PROJETO

Abstract

Esta dissertação de mestrado, desenvolvida na disciplina de Atelier de Projeto II – C, do ano letivo de 2019-20, veio da iniciativa “(Re)pensar São Pedro de Moel”, criada em parceria com a comunidade e o governo local. O Atelier tinha como objetivo propor uma estratégia de dinamização para a região do Pinhal de Leiria e de São Pedro de Moel, colocando-a novamente numa rede nacional de interesse, não só de veraneio, mas também cultural e ambiental.O território natural da região que, no seu estado atual, empobrecido pela má conservação das matas, encontra-se em contato com uma estrutura urbana igualmente decadente, decorrente de uma gestão urbanística focada, sobretudo, na promoção do local como zona balnear, impingindo um comportamento sazonal do número de visitantes ao longo do ano. Neste contexto, foi crucial procurar formas de revitalização assentes em modos alternativos de oferta turística.Tendo isto em mente, foi idealizada uma Porta de Entrada para ser um lugar de acesso ao Pinhal, localizada entre a mata e a malha urbana. É nesta que se insere a proposta para o Centro de Serviços Turísticos, uma infraestrutura destinada a acolher e organizar diferentes tipos de operadores turísticos, de forma a centralizar meios para viabilizar o encontro destes profissionais com os seus públicos-alvo. Incentivando, com isso, uma ampliação do alcance e da variedade de ofertas neste setor.No desenvolvimento do projeto, com a intenção de utilizar técnicas e sistemas construtivos orientados pelo seu desempenho sustentável, recorreu-se à utilização de softwares acessíveis para otimização do desenho e, principalmente, simulação virtual, tornando assim possível implementar análises de comportamento climático. Ao longo do desenvolvimento da proposta, estas análises serão fundamentais nas decisões sobre a forma e espacialidade do edifício. Sendo assim, esta dissertação procura demonstrar os métodos e abordagens adotadas, bem como apresentar o potencial e as problemáticas que a implementação destas pode trazer para o processo arquitetónico.

This thesis, developed in the curricular subject of Design Studio II - C, 2019-20, was created with the purpose of "(Re)thinking São Pedro de Moel", in partnership with the local community and government. The research proposes a new dynamic strategy for the region of Pinhal de Leiria and São Pedro de Moel, reclaiming once again its place in a national network of interest, not only for summer vacation, but also in a cultural and environmental context.The natural territory of the region, currently, impoverished by poor conservation of the woods, is in contact with an equally decadent urban structure, resulting from an urban management focused on promoting the place as a bathing area, imposing a seasonal behavior in the number of visitors throughout the year. In this context, it was crucial to seek forms of revitalization based on alternative modes of tourism supply.With this in mind, a gateway was conceived to be an access point to the Pinhal de Leiria, located between the forest and the urban area. This is where the proposal for the Tourist Services Center is inserted, an infrastructure designed to receive and organize different types of tourist operators, in order to centralize means to make possible the meeting of these professionals with their target audiences. Therefore, encouraging an expansion of the variety of offers in this sector.In the progress of the project, with the intention of choosing techniques and constructive systems, recourse was made for the use of accessible software focused on their sustainable performance, where design optimization, and mainly, virtual simulation aspects were in their foreground, thus making it possible to implement analyses of climatic behavior. Throughout the development of the proposal, these analyses were fundamental in the decision-making process focused around the form and spatiality of the building. Thus, this dissertation sought to demonstrate the methods and approaches adopted, as well as to present the potential and problems that their implementation can bring to the architectural process.
