O caso do Caffè Geopolitico. Como os podcasts podem ensinar a história

Abstract

O podcasting é, sem dúvida, o meio de comunicação mais interessante da década. A pandemia foi o acelerador para o desenvolvimento desta tecnologia, que cresceu significativamente entre o 2019 e o 2021. Na época atual, o que é interessante sublinhar são precisamente as possíveis utilizações dos podcasts no futuro, dado que já agora são utilizados também em outros campos como no marketing empresarial. Isso também é evidenciado pelos grandes meios de comunicação anglo-saxônica, que começaram a utilizar os podcasts no contexto educacional para ensinar inglês ao público. Na Itália, devido ao grande interesse demonstrado pelas pessoas nos vídeos de aprofundamento histórico, existem condições para a criação de um podcast que possa ajudar estudantes a estudar os principais acontecimentos históricos, como a Revolução Francesa ou a Segunda Guerra Mundial.Esta é a hipótese que tentaremos explorar ao longo deste relatório, redigido a partir da experiência do estágio realizado no Caffè Geopolitico, principal revista italiana de geopolítica. O trabalho foi dividido em três capítulos. Na primeira parte, foi ilustrada a estrutura interna do Caffè Geopolitico, com particular referência à sua produção editorial, e em seguida a atenção centrou-se na experiência do estágio e nos resultados alcançados. Entre os objetivos do estágio estava também a criação de um podcast sobre um acontecimento histórico específico, que foi o conflito armado colombiano. Justamente por causa desse projeto foi possível desenvolver o terceiro capítulo do relatório, dentro do qual é defendido o uso dos podcasts para ajudar estudantes do ensino médio e superior.

Podcasting is the most interesting medium of the decade. The pandemic was the accelerator for the development of this technology, which grew significantly between 2019 and 2021. At the present time, it is interesting to underline the possible uses of podcasts in the future because nowadays they have been using in many fields, for example in business marketing. This is also proved by the main Anglo-Saxon media, which they have started to use podcasts in order to teach English to their audience. In Italy, due to the growing interest shown by people in in-depth historical videos, there are the conditions to create podcast that can help students to study the main historical events, such as the French Revolution or the Second World War.This is the hypothesis that I will try to explore throughout this report, which is based from the experience of the internship carried out at Caffè Geopolitico, the main Italian journal of geopolitics. The work was divided into three chapters. In the first part, the internal structure of Caffè Geopolitico was illustrated, with many reference to its editorial production, then the attention was focused on the internship experience and the main goals achieved. One of the objectives of the internship was also the creation of a podcast about a specific historical event, which was the Colombian armed conflict. Thanks to this project, it was possible to develop the third chapter of the report, where I discussed about the use of podcasts in the educational context in order to help middle and high school students.
